Oh, great, another piece of cheese bound for the garbage can...hehe Seriously, I think it does not keep track of how much it's spent this turn, and I also believe it should. Hope it's not too hard to implement.

You can get the same SmartException readout as above if you start a new game, then select "Menu", then "Main Menu", then "Start New Civilization", then "Next", then "Done"...the game will CTD while setting up the new game: repeatable.
CTD on ctrl-n right after start of game: Stardock SmartException Logging Information ------------------------------------------- OS Version : Windows XP Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4400 Application Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION Crash Addr: 00407560 01:00006560 C:\Program Files\Galactic Civilizations\galciv.exe Processor Registers (x86): EAX:00000001 EBX:00000000 ECX:00000000 EDX:00000002 ESI:000050F4 EDI:0012C784
#2 above seems to be related to bigshot3754's Party Pack from the Library; experiments continue.
1. You can't use ctrl-n to recreate the map; it crashes to the desktop: repeatable. 2. Once you've installed the beta, you can't get back to the original political party choices without a complete delete and reinstall. Even a simple uninstall and reinstall will leave the choices as the first several (before the box scrolls) political parties from the beta: repeatable. This one's annoying because I'd installed all the mods from the library (long time) and now I've got to do it all over
I'm not sure the limitation of two resources per sector is needed, if the AI can be taught to covet those as much as we do. I've personaly never seen one of those yet, but I know it'd be the focal point of an eternal war if I found an AI sitting on one...
I enjoy trading techs to other races once I've got a good boost to diplomacy; they seem to overpay, because they go negative-balance pretty quickly...nothing like a bankrupt opponent :)
Remember, guys, that's not one of Brad's files. The guy who uploaded it is the one who used .rar, as far as I've heard.
I haven't read all 550 messages, so please forgive me if this's a known bug. The last planet of the Yor Collective just defected to me culturally, and when I go to check on that fact in "stats" under the diplomacy selection, the game crashes to the desktop. This is a replicable error, and I can send you the gamefile. Jim
