Using latest patch (not a beta). My planets started to lose their ability to buy things (partiallly completed factories, etc.). Buy button was grayed out even though I had money. Reloading didn't help. Had to go back to an older save file and lost a lot of turns.
After playing a game for 8 hours, I stopped beng able to buy anything. I would select an improvement and the buy button would not show up. I don't think any improvements were happening either. I had load an old save game and probably lost 20-30 turns. I guess I will save more often under different names.
I have a planet with open green tiles. I have no Starport. And when I click on a green tile, there is no option to build a Starport. I have it on other planets. For this planet on the top right it says "Orbital Construction" and then "Under Construction." No timeline for construction. And it is not in the build queue. The only thing going on is upgrading a factory.
I am still fairly low on the tech tree. Right now my ships can cover about half of the universe. What can get me the rest of the way? New engine types? Anything else. Does a ship range relate to your home planet, the planet where it was created, etc. Can it extend its range by visiting another planer? JHawk
Yes, I found it. I am confused how these forums work. Do posts take a while to show up? I thought it would show up in the Gametalk forum. I still don't see it there but it shows up on the left as recent posts.
In what subdirectory are the save files? Usually I can find these easily? Thx Bryce

I have recently tried to install both Galciv I and Galciv II. Both times the computers hung after the initial screen after I punched the button install. The way around this was fairly easy. I restarted my machine in safe mode. Then the installation went fine. And the games play fine in normal mode. My other games install fine without having to go to safe mode. I do have McAffee running but I am not sure that is the problem. Any other g

What is the US list price? Is it $39.95 or $44.95. I am thinking of ordering it from Amazon with free shipping. But sometimes the Amazon price goes up after the game is released. I see some posts that say that if they order the boxed set from Stardock that they are paying $44.95 plus shipping. Flash
