I've sent an e-mail with the debug and SE files attached. Thanks for all your help.

Same as > I now get a CTD on the first planet colonized (after the initial planet of course). Got to four before updating my video driver. Now with the latest, I can't get to number 2! Maybe game updates will be more stable!
I have tried the beta a couple times -- had similar CTD as others: attempting to colonize 4th habital planet in solar system. Also the screen scroll problem -- I can move left, right, and up, but not down. The only way to move down is to hold the left mouse button, but this is rather awkward. Thus I wanted to try windowing (not full screen), and different resolutions. Just trying the different currently available features. I allowed Stardock to do the auto-i
I have downloaded and installed 0.12, and tried running GCConfig, but all I get is a blank screen box. Any more detailed instructions and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
I, too, am grateful for the fixed metaverse, though I wonder if the fix is complete. I use it merely to keep my personal scores, since I'll never rise too high. It shows with my name that I have logged 39 games, when I count 40 scores showing -- is this a problem because I submitted my last game during the "broken" iterim? Thanks!

I appreciate the fixes that Stardock made to prevent cheating! However, I too have experienced an inability to build mod SBmodules, namely the ones from Icho Tolot, both Halut Pack 2.0 and Omega Pack. I have upgraded to the latest available versions today -- 7/23/04 -- and ran a test game of my own. So whatever blocks against cheating seem to have blocked what I hope are legitimate modifications. The technologies have been achieved and the morality alignment is high enough. Any further inst
Thanks, Fellow Players! Your advise was quick and accurate. You've made my gaming experience that much better! ~SDC~
I've been playing GalCiv since last summer when I bought the Stategy First store version, then got into Drengin.net, etc. so I am playing the fully updated version now. But I still think of myself as a "Newbie"; I don't have time to play too often. So, I'm looking for helpful instructions about renaming the ships I control, getting beyond the pre-assigned numbers. Can some give me a step-by-step process? Also, I believe I read in one thread -- while looking for advise -- that CariElf said it
