I agree that a button or some other technique for immediate minimum acceptance would be perfect. As it is easy to spot what the correct amount is by moving the slider why bother wasting time and effort doing this. The button only increases the speed of the process and therefore is a good idea. The only time that this would not be beneficial is if there was some uncertainty about the amounts. As this is not the case why bother with the slider when you can immediatly meet the minimum by the pr
Downloaded latest on TGNet .78[b].005. When it came time to launch a colony ship I built it asked for the number of colonists repeatedly however when I closed out of the screen and went back in it asked only once. I had changed the type of ship I wanted to build to constructor before requesting the colony ship to launch so this may have had something to do with it!
Out Thursday 11/3 AAAARRRRGGGGHH 11th March is too long to wait... And here I was hoping for 3/11/05
If possible have Earth variable depending on the difficulty level. A high PQ starting level at easy makes things alot easier in GC2. However a base 10 regardless of the difficulty level should be used. This would also blunt the use of Ctl-N to ensure the best starting system possible. However I believe that an option to use a random starting planet should also be used. For those who like Ctl-N.. As for the other planets this is a game where anything is possible. I would not hav
Having each 'home system' changing with the difficulty level would also work well. For example Earth would always be 10 however the higher the difficulty setting the better the home start PQ's would be for the other races. I like the idea of homeworlds as it increases the believability and sense of triumph gained by conquering a homeworld. You know which one it is and not just another name and number.
Will I be able to use Beta 4 on a computer not connected to the internet? Currently my main machine is not connected (Ludite I know) and would like to try this on more than just my laptop machine?
Notice: Gal Civ 2 due date put back . Carielf admitted to the delay however he stated that the problem arose when he found that the production team could no longer enter the offices due to 2 tons of cherries, peannut butter and ice-cream blocking the entrance to their offices. Although a valiant effort was made by everyone to clear the way through to the doors this has not yet been possible. Carielf however is adamant that he personally will remain until every cherry is eaten. <im
I agree with the Neutral empire receiveing some wonders as GC1 tended to require a strategy of either total evil or total good to obtain the best improvements. Unfortunatly life is shades of gray and it would be good if GC2 would have at least some improvements (not necessarily as powerful) to take into account this. Especially as worlds have now become so important if they have alot of tiles that to take a hit of say -40% production just to keep 100% good will hamper players immensly.
Loved the Earth tile set. Adds to the whole experience. Will the tiles for this be randomised or set? ie research bonus for North America and a cultural bonus in the likes of China? Could cause a little bit of controversy.
For all of you Stardock fans out there check out the great idea they have for a MMO. Wow. If it is anything like as good as GalCiv then I might as well prepare for the Divorce now. At least I have a year's warning. Congratulation Brad and team for comming up with what look's like a fantastic idea and I look forward to this with eager anticipation. http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/society/614757p1.html <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/s
This seems to happen fairly consistantly on my machine. Unfortunatly not internet connected but will try and transfer error report later. When I adjust the slider between Military, Social and Research spending after locking one and then trying to unlock and adjust the sliders my machine crashes. My machine is an Intel P4 2.8GHz Radian 9800 pro 128 meg Ram - 512meg Other than that it is looking great <img src="http://images.stardoc

flexability. Do you wish to risk the starbase fully recovering in a couple of turns but a possibility of capture or just destruction. Sometimes destruction is the best course if there is little hope of holding it.
Being a writer from Dublin I am interested in the North mainly as I am originally from the UK. While it is true that alot of precidence has been given to the Robbery I do not agree that more notice or long lasting impact has been made on this than the murder. In fact from everything I am hearing the opposite is true. The only reason why the robbery received more coverage was that it happened first. Originally the robbery was the big talking point as it has for the first time well a

so great was the ability to use even this machine to while away the hours at airports etc.. This would be my first time Beta testing but I enjoyed the game so much that I am willing to put in the hours...
Already looking forward to the marital 'discussions' Galciv II is bound to cause.
