Frogboy is there any chance of getting a working pause button in for single player. It is kind of hard to goto the bathroom when you can't pause the game lol.
Just set the timeout option in the game options and you can take a bath as often as you like

Demigod is very LAN friendly, just make sure you have the same version installed and it will work. In case you want to play online, it could be needed to explicitly set the port ranges used for the best connection results. And of course, for online you will need 2 accounts. Have fun
(we did some voodoo to let us get those command line parameters in the first place without having to change the game EXE).
A loaded dll can access the commandline parameters of the current process with one line of code. So no Voodoo needed there. It becomes much more interesting if you want the parameters of another process....
The current flow in the Demigod user interface is: After a match you always return to the main menu. After a match you have several options, depending on the previous menu selections: <ul
your game is installed in a directory C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe regardless of whether you got it on impulse or otherwise.
On 64 bit it is a little bit different: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe" /skipintro in my case
Great job, will 'test' this today and ofcourse a wish :-): Would be nice to be able to set commandline parameters within Impulse
Make it optional. People start with the easy way. Later they can put everything = resource on and create enhanced things. Otherwise, use the beta to find out what is most fun. A a and b part of a beta. In part a, the simple way. in part b the enhanced way. Run both after each other for a month. Then evaluate. what sounds fun on paper can turn out to be a burdon. Maybe even without advanced ai to start with, just all by hand. It would start as an advanced spreadsheet to start w
Well if it goes badly, offer to give some advice. If it continues and they do not want to listen then tell goodbye and disconnect. Just use the oppertunity to learn people something. But just quitting feels lame to me.

1.00.0114 is the last demigod version
It's called the targeting bug (well probably several bugs resulting in the same behaviour) and it was partly fixed a few patches ago but is still causing havoc to mouses.
And make sure that you still have the same IP for you're local machine as when you setup the DMZ. (Just in case) I can imagen situations where people have changed router settings and are using DCHP resulting in different IP adresses if they are unlucky...
Rename the four video files that are in your Movies folder. Then when you launch demigod, it'll instantly post the game menu. I used to do that but every time Demigod updates it re-downloads the movies which makes updating take longer and requires me to fix it each time I update the game.
You can create 2 bat files, one to rename from original to another name, and another one to rename it back before
I've posted a wish to the beta forum a while back: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/344188 I'm still hoping they will create this in one of the coming patches

Interesting read, luckely i've never had to work on this kind of stuff. I'm just a simple application programmer :-)
If the NAT decides halfway to forget the existing state and consequently map the packets to a new port or even a new address, the current connection needs to be re-established, but that is a whole new type of headache I will get into in a later post (or never). he, don't you dare to go on-topic!! [e digicons]O:)[/e]
When i used PFPortChecker it tried to use the hamachi ip adres to send it packages. So make sure the IP which is used for the check is the actual IP of you're machine as seen from the router. An other program who add's a virtual network ip adress isr VMware. And if you have multiple network cards like ethernet and wireless you can also have several IP's which could be used by the program
Hmm, this program wants me to forward to the hamachi IP adres :-) And after that my VMWare IP....
Impressive that you get there without making those changes to the Demigod application. however:
Now if only we had thought of this a month ago…
I think the beta was for that but i assume it was thought of too lightly that NAT traversal problems could be fixed in the 1st week.... It turned out otherwise. Next time make sure connection is bulletproof and scalable before releasing ;-)
Good to hear, please post your results if you get this working for both computers, so others can use it :-)
@Xclaim I think you should use the Applications page. Add a rule: Enabled Name: Demigod Computer1 Triggerport: - TriggerType: Both Public port: - - Protocoltype: UDP The 2nd computer should use a different triggerport and portrange Make sure the firewall is not blocking the 'lo
Hi Xclaim, I've looked to you're screenshots and I only see the firewall rules. Those needs to be open but have nothing to do with portforwarding. Firewall is just a blocker for ports to protect you from attacks Can you post screenshots of the Virtual Server and DMZ pages of you're router?
A pity the forums do not have an ignore option. I reaaly do not understand the problem here. 1 GPG is trying to balance stuff and you are going boom about that? WTF what do expect them to do, wait until DNF comes out? 2 You do not like Erebus being nerfed a little but didn't play him often? sight... Get the numbers first, find out why things are not working ok and then come back
