Woohoo, I think I got it. I missed the line "planetItemTypeCount". It was 145, I added 3 so I needed to change it to 148. Mod now enabled/applied....will see if it works now

Wait a minute....line 7 88 is a playerTypeCount and would be line 778 if I hadn't added 3 bonuses...Is the game looking for certain thing in specific places. If so, where do I put my bonuses.... Working on debugging it now...I think I had some extra spaces sneak in the text at then end of some of the lines...testing now. Ok. Sorry for being such a noob, but I did some quick research and created the mod and put it where it is supposed to be. It shows up in-game in the mods section and I enabled it...no change to my map thoug. planet in question still gets a random bonus...What am I missing?

Well...that stinks...I haven't looked into making a mod and definately don't want to make a mod just for a single map. Gonna try making a copy of that file and adding the bonus in manually. I need some help with a map I am creating. Basically wanted to create a 1v2v2/1v4 map where player 1(or 0 to Galaxy Forge) gets a middle star system of 5 total stars. I have made the map so the "player in the middle" gets all the artifacts and that part works, but I cannot get a planet to have a specific planet bonus. Galaxy Forge only has the "Crystal Miners" bonus to add from there (is this gonna be fixed/why only this one?). This shouldn't be a problem because I

I agree, the TEC do seem weak. Stacked bases does help the loyalist with a pretty solid defense but they need a weapon range buff (Advent too...Vasari have a mobile starbase so its range can remain the same). This would also have the added benefit of making defense against the now famous OP jumping Orky more manageable. The VR "jumping Orky" should be nerfed with the additional phase slot upgrade as suggested. That alone will still make it useful without being quite so OP. Additional adjustments may be needed but should start with that. Anyone suggesting the Orky should use fleet supply will get burned... +1 to your last 2 points. I do actually prefer both. Starbases should move (altho much more slowly than the vasari) but i like the towing option to be able to rearrange structures as a TEC advantage. That way, your defenses on a contested planet you control can be shifted and are never the same. Still think SB movement should be manual manuever/ability with cooldown.
