Autosaving

I think that autosaving is an important feature to have, but currently saving the game takes too long for this to be feasible. I have seen forums for other games where people complain about how it takes so long to save, they turn off autosaving, even though the game crashes and they lose a lot of work.

The game does actually have autosaving, but it's currently disabled (I think for that very reason).

You can enable autosave by opening c:\documents and settings\user name\appliation data\ironclad games\sins of a solar empire\setting\user.setting (depending on installation and operating system). The file can be opened with notepad.exe and the value you want changed is "GS_AUTOSAVE FALSE" to "GS_AUTOSAVE TRUE". You can also adjust the time interval between autosaves.
