Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

Quoting nicoclovis,
Hi,

First of all congratulations for this wonderful mod. But I would like to know when the final version becomes available? At this moment I am on V1.15 SOAS vanilla, and I would like to know if when the mod will be finished, there will be compatible with this version?
Ps: Sorry for my english mistakes. ^ ^

The mod doesnt have a release date as of yet, and will not work for Vanilla Sins, you must have the Entrenchment Expansion.

Been working today on the Asgard Beam Weapons, have two version in the works right now, the first is using the Exhaust from the missiles.

And this second one is just and extended Laser beam.

Im going to continue both lines of work, hopefully one turns out really good.

They both look good but like some others have said, the second one looks a bit better.  I think it may be because you also have a shot of the ship in there and in the first one the beam is just sitting in the middle of space. I am really impressed that you are going to this length of detail though to make it look authentic.

A video of them in action would be a better way to judge though if you really want an opinion from the public.  On a side note I just watched my copy of Be All My Sins Remember'd to refresh myself on how the Asgard beam weapon looks in action and noticed that whatever the Daedalus fires when coming out of hyperspace in the final battle over the Asuran homeworld didn't have a muzzle effect at all.  It looked like they were the railguns by the firing speed etc, unless they have another type of energy weapon.  I bring it up because people have again commented about the large muzzle effects despite you all stating that they have been adjusted.

Well they should look at this way: The more people asking dumb questions the more people that love their work.

Man created Beer, that is how I put up with it. LOL, anyhow I will get a video of it in due time, have to work on the kinks and doing some reference for the weapons, to make sure I get them as close to perfect as possible.

Just some minor problems, like asthetics, getting the weapon to look as it does in the show, hopefully wont take to long.

it might take awhile for the video to fully work, not sure why its having problems.

The beam looks damn good in that video man.  I was wondering if you guys were going to include beamed bombs, I'm assuming it's an ability... does it beam it near the vicinity of the target ship or does it beam it onboard?

Is the Daedalus a cruiser or capital class ship?

Its not 100% yet, but the speed has been set like that due to the expansion of the particle, if I can slow that down, the weapon will be slowed down.  There is a limit to what we can do, I would love for it to go into the target, but that just isnt possible.

we have been busy working on several things for the mod, new meshes, textures for our current stuff and real world things as well, such as work or school.  As for the asgard beams, I have made a new texture for them, shrunk the size of them in width, as when the weapon would fire it would expand to be wider then the ship, lol.  Anyhow, should have a new video of it in due time, to many real life things taking presidence at the moment.
