How Do I download and play the star wars mod

anyone please help me out

I havent played this game for very long but this star wars mod looks awesome but i have no idea how to download the mod or even load it into my computer. please help oh im also running windows vista does that make any differance?

You should be able to download it with this link. Then unzip it to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\

You'll need WinRar (Google it.) Or another program that can handle .rar files in order to unzip it.

Kit: If I put that (or any other) Mod on my Sins, do I have to reinstall Sins to get it "back to normal"?

No. Once you put it into the mods folder, you should go to the options menu and enable it from there. The changes only take effect once you enable it.

There's also an option to enable the mod on starting up the game, but don't check that until you know the mod will work.

Huh? You can't extract it with WinRar?

Note that most mods won't work with 1.09. The only one I've seen is the Sound mod.

Darn, I was going to play some mods (for the first time) while waiting for some kind of beta update. But it took so long to have Impulse to update Sins, I'm affraid to go back to 1.5 and try mods.

Where ARE all those mods anyway; when I've went in the past (and just now) to the Dowload section, I don't see most the Mods I hear people talking about?

sigh ......finally.....ok I got it loaded and I can play i just have one more ? how do I coloninize planets as empire i dont see anything that resembles a colony ship or anything

Use the Acculamator (or whatever it's called), the one that has the description that sounds like it colonizes (one bombs other colonizes). Its a cruiser.

Also, for future reference, if you have a question about a mod, ask in that mod's already existing thread.
