The problem is you gotta be nearby the starbase. If you're 2+ jumps away and he's brought his own small fleet with it, you're screwed.

He's free to take pot shots at you as you destroy the starbase OR his starbase makes it because you spend your effort killing off the fleet first.

If you're right there and can get to it as it starts, sure, counterable.

But that's not the problem. The problem is it takes a long time just to get to it while it's being constructed.

lol Grey I wont deny that my opinion is a bit biased because vasari is my favorite race, but unlike you I do play all races recently I have been teaching myself how to play TEC and i have played a number of games as advent.

The only race i had problems taking out a SB with is Advent and as I said earlier it was because i went econ ( 2 civic labs at my HW)

He also got feed while i didnt i got about 1k hp left on the SB really i didnt blame that loss on the OPness of the vasari SB i blame it on my own stupidity. While my opinion may be biased about the SB yours may be too because you exclusively play Advent.
