Truth is we don't know completely what's being added, I think they've given us enough info to explain why this is more than a mere expansion like the other two but I think they have more under wraps as a surprise, not to mention they probably do want to make sure this works as smoothly and without as much bugs as possible.

That's true; with the addition of the Titans and the other ships, they are probably spending a lot of time balancing to make sure these new things are not over/under powered and to make gameplay the best they can.

I have to admit that this is sure taking its sweet time before releasing any news of it ...

I haven't pre-ordered it for these reasons ... show me a game ... and I'll show money.

Show me no news ... well the same on my side ... still enjoyed Dimplomacy... but I'm kinda afraid about Rebellion never coming out ... at this point of waiting at the very least.

No news on the Beta yet, Rebellion isn't due out until sometime in Spring which means they have 5 months or so to go still to release on time...

That being said the Fallen Enchantress Beta is about to begin so I would assume that will go on for two or three months and once that is finalized and released or at least very close to that point, attention will be turned to the Rebellion Beta.  Since Sins is a far more polished game by comparison to Elemental, I would assume our Beta to be shorter in duration since Sins didn't get the same kind of overhauls that Elemental got.

My advice would be to pay attention to Fallen Enchantress and when it looks like they've got everything buttoned up the way they like it, start getting pumped up for our beta.

A lot of time has gone into art for Rebellion, which only hit full stride a few months ago and has continued to accelerate. While that's finished up, we now spending more time on balance and making sure that things actually work/play as intended. Add that to improving existing systems and trying to keep memory use in check, and it adds up to a lot of time. We'd rather take that time to make Rebellion really polished than rush it out only to have everyone hate it.

Polish it up to a brilliant, scintillating golden shine.  If it isn't ready until next January, it's not ready until then.

One thing I hope you guys will do is to work on a cost-effective marketing strategy.  I still feel that Sins is a very much overlooked and mostly unknown game amongst the RTS community, or at least amongst the online multiplayer PvP RTS community that mostly plays Starcraft.  It would be nice if that group could discover Sins.

Sounds good to me as well... of course, I do hope I get some play time with it before the world ends.

Edit: On second thought, take your time ... I'd hate to have the last game to be forced out just to make a few bucks befor it was ready. *Looks squarely at you BF3*

I am all for "taking time," but I would at least like to see something official for the pre-order funds I've already pledged.  How about an official site, with official screenshots, links, etc.  Even C&C Generals 2 has that much.  So far, I have forums and speculation about what it could be.  I'm not asking for beta access at present, just an official movie, some stills, even a dev diary excerpt on a dedicated section of the website would be freaking awesome.

Yah, I never pre-order until they come out with packaging details. In a few cases, I'll actually get a collector's edition content if it really interest me. But as far as taking preorders early, I can understand you want to make sure your money isn't wasted, but you do take that risk in putting down money on a game that doesn't have any details out. Games are always getting delayed and such, I dont know how long I've been waiting on ME 3.

Planed release date Rebelion is late 2012. I supose 4th quater. They wrote note on his website. In my opinion is takes so long like for addon. Ironoclad is a small company with staffing shortages. Therefore making something it takes them so long. If we dont see projects results until spring, thats projects will be threatened.

What's with all the doom and gloom? I would personally rather have them spend time on the game itself than doing anything else, sure a bit more info would be nice, but it's not that big a thing for me. Personally I've been impressed with both Stardock and Ironclad, they treat us, their customers, like people. I appreciate that, and am therefore content with what they have told us, and also content to wait until such a time as they deem ready to release more info or the beta.
