Dude, really? Go find something else to bitch about. Seriously.
The OP is legit...this is not a troll thread...
Most games have bugs and errors and overpowered strategies, and it makes more sense to release it and let the public find a lot of them instead of having to spend those same amounts of dedicated hours having to pay people to find them. Mind you they do hunt for them, but there is economy of scale and it is far cheaper for everyone involved for it to be released before it is perfect and just plan to patch it up as needed afterwards.
I agree, this is pretty much the standard for the industry and probably for the best...while it seems "bad", really it is the most effective means of doing things...games of old were plagued by bugs and balance issues the day of release, and patches for those came out far less often (if ever), so really I'd say things have improved significantly over time...
By biggest gripe with the balance issues of Rebellion is that this is an expansion, not a whole new game...we have 4 years of experience with this game, something a completely new release wouldn't have...there are balance issues that are just no brainers: who in their right mind could ever have thought jumping SBs was balanced?? You might not have recognized that if you were developing the entire game, but this is an expansion, we already know how powerful SBs are and how games generally run....I think it is completely fair to expect a little more foresight from the devs considering this is only an expansion (even if it's a big one)...
Before v1.03, I felt that while maybe things were a bit rushed, SD should have just stuck with the initial release date anyway...most of the balance issues would become more apparent with more play time and could be fixed with updates....but then v1.03 came out, the game still has frequent MDs, crippling bugs, and ridiculous balance...furthermore, the next patch isn't scheduled till late july and likely won't fix all the issues...
Sins lost a crucial window...I supported the original release date on the assumption that most things would be fixed within a month, but that isn't the case...we'll be lucky to get to that point 6-7 weeks after release, and even that seems unlikely....people are going to get turned off by the balance and the MDs, they're going to leave, and they're never going to come back...things have been in poor shape for just too long of a time period....
Coronata is considered OP?
Coronata + fleet is ridiculous...AL fleets are almost certainly the strongest all else being equal...the only reason Coronata doesn't get as much attention is because of the all else being equal part...VL can get far more resources early game that even with a subpar fleet and titan they'd still be OP...Ragnarov with snipe is best titan early game, which all too often decides the entire game...AR have wail, which i'd say is far more useful and powerful than...whatever the AL have that's supposed to be useful (nothing?)...
Definitely agree that Corsev is ridiculous, and the Eradica (and maybe even Ragnarov) might need some work...Coronata is OP but only late game...really, it's the only thing AL have going for them, so honestly I think they as a whole need to be redone before demanding Coronata nerfs...
