Yes, pretty horrifying.....using Explorer AND no WB loaded...... [slumming it].

I do, however have 'that' old Winamp up and running again with some more mods.....

Once upon a time screenshots were 'just' tools...before people wanted to show-off 'stuff'....

Tools indeed... so here isn't my desktop, this is WIP...

It's a bit more complete now than it was when the shot was taken, it now has proper tabs and combo box buttons, but you get the gist

Switched machines to Vista (currently RC2 - 5744, until I can afford to purchase after Jan. 30) - for good.

Here is the home-built desktop shot with rating included.

 

Processor = Intel Core2 Duo (e6600)

Memory = 2 GB DDR2 PC800

Graphics card = ATI X1950 XTX 512MB (single card)

Hard Drive = Seagate SATA (3.0 Gb/sec.) 300 GB

The ECHO....you need to partially obscure the wall image in a screenshot...so it cannot be easily reused as a wall....

WP is Water In The Leaf (socksoff.co.uk)

Hopefully the LAST version of this Winamp.....it's about as complex as you can get....transparency-wise  ...2988 regions, taking 11952 individual co-ordinates.
Originally these were done by hand....fortunately along came Maxim to save my day...
I'll upload it shortly....called "Blame Maxim once more".

Rest of the junk is mine, save for the wall called "Ensnare", by Shadowness.

Done a bit more work on it. Also added a Sysmetrix and basic rainy. Wall is one of mine. Icons are by APB - can't remember who did the cursor...

Note the wind speed on the Sysmetrix - brrr!
