Dissappearing Mouse!

Can't play anymore :(

I was running the first version of the beta of Sins of a Solar Empire on my laptop... Sony Vaio VGN-FS660P. NVidia Go 6200 video, 1GB RAM, Pentium M 1.73.

The original version of the beta was running great. However, last night I installed the latest version of the beta. Now, the mouse cursor keeps dissappearing. Weird thing is...the cursor is still 'there'. If I move the mouse around, the buttons in the UI highlight and can be activated by clicking...there is just no visual representation of the mouse cursor on the screen. This problem has pretty much made it impossible to play...

Tech note this to the guys, I'll bring it up on IRC. See what can be done, though might not find out till tomorrow if they can figure it out.

this might be a drastic measure, but perhaps re-download the beta again? and see if that helps? i was thinking prior to your problem if it was possible to download to another folder or drive for testing purposes... guess this might come in handy.
