I read a couple of contributions about fleet tactics and fleet building.

What I really missed within the user interface and I played really a couple of battles now, is advanced grouping of fleets.

Afaik we distinguish fleets up to now by gravity wells and using the folder option by shiptype. Of course we can select ship by ship and assign an order.

What I would highly appreciate is the option to create fleets and assign orders and depending on the particular ships capabilities it fullfills parts of this group orders.

EG: define fleet "commander adama, assign two carriers, two dreadnnaughts and 20 frigattes" then command "siege planet" with the result that the ships who are able to siege do so and the others cover the siege ships.

this would make it miuch more easy to meet with two or three fleets at a certain gravity well, fullfill a special tactic and then spread out to simpler missions.


maybe I am a sucker and didn't find where to do this.
