Maybe this is the wrong place to post this, but...
I know in some other posts people were talking about making more uses out of star systems and someone had mentioned something about using it for energy. I think a great way to do this is to be able to build a star base in the gravitational field that sends trade ships to a planet (user can change which planet) and ever user ship owned by the player that passes through that system gets a temporary boost to max anti-matter under the auspice of energy batteries. Say a ship passes through that system and gets 350/250 anti-matter until they deplete that extra hundred. This would give advantage to star owners without breaking the game and would increase the tactical importance of both the star and the planet that is receiving the extra energy. And maybe the amount of anti-matter granted can be researched up.
Another thing I would like to see is the ability to hide ships behind a planet you own. All that would take is to give ships only line of sight sensors (maybe full sensor abilities can be researched later) on planets they do not own. I don't think it would be difficult to program and you could denote it with a darker shaded area of the gravity well. I think it would add some tactics and surprise as well as making the universe feel more dynamic and real because the player wouldn't have an omnipotent ability to see everything as once.
If I come up with anything else I guess I'll post it. Thoughts?
