Most current info I've seen while browsing through here is "late Summer".   

You are alone in wanting to see the next beta out to join. I waffled just long enough to miss the Beta 2 wagon for pre-ordering. I've since paid and now await my turn.

Late August / early September was what I heard last, but I'm betting its been pushed back to mid-September at the earliest.

no if u look on stardock central it says on the opening screen that its out in september ill look again my bad it wa in an email from stardock. Sins of a Solar Empire. Ironclad's 4X RTS goes into multiplayer beta in September. It will be released in February 2008. that it from the email

no its in an email i got from star dock in it there was a news section and it said that multiplayer beta for sins is out in september.

Jperzio is right, in the newsletter it says :

Sins of a Solar Empire. Ironclad's 4X RTS goes into multiplayer beta in September. It will be released in February 2008.

Lets not get impatient. I would rather this game remain and continue as the gem that it is than rush anything whatsoever.

God forbid should I load moo3 up again since even this here beta came out.

You do know that if you buy the TotalGaming.net membership for $70 and then use 5 of your tokens to pre-order that you can get the beta 2 at any time and also be in Beta 3 when it comes out? That's what I did yesterday and happily played it for like 5 hours straight

I know some might not be able to afford that, but you do get the game then for only 5 tokens which is $35 and they have lots of other good games on their service to buy like all the GalCiv 1+2 stuff + expansions.

You do know that if you buy the TotalGaming.net membership for $70 and then use 5 of your tokens to pre-order that you can get the beta 2 at any time and also be in Beta 3 when it comes out? That's what I did yesterday and happily played it for like 5 hours straight

I know some might not be able to afford that, but you do get the game then for only 5 tokens which is $35 and they have lots of other good games on their service to buy like all the GalCiv 1+2 stuff + expansions.

Glad you like it.   We've got a lot of additional games in the pipeline for TGN too for the next couple of months.

That still works? I thought beta 2 had been closed to new customers since the beginning of the month.

TGN doesn't follow that rule -- you in instantly with tokens.

NOTE: the beta 2 patch has been moved back to hopefully next week due to Al Gore and global warming.
