Few questions about beta 4.

Not for sure if there is a NDA and how much it covers, so feel free to lock or delete if i break it lol.

I have played beta 3 and loved what i saw, and i am on the fence about pre-ordering it now as well, i am worried about stuff i have ehard about beta4 and retail.

Some felt def was to strong in beta 3 so it was enrfed, and i hear from others not only are they weaker but also less total limt, making def turrets almost useless, is this true?

I keep seeing people say the fleet size changed for beta 4, how so? i also know retail changed it again and we are told its not gonna be noticed now, to me that sounds like we can build massive fleets of thounsdand of ships, other whys i will notice

Actually Claudign, I have frequently read reviews that didn't have good things to say about the game in question. Its gotten less and less common -- especially about heavily hyped games, alas, but it does happen. You just need to find the right "sources".

only place i saw bad reviews is on TV on that gaming channel like the link which is posted here on the forum...

i had a 1 year subscription to a gaming magazine and all the reviews where good...

im sure u are right that some give a fair and balance review but most of them are commercials.

If you feel that a company's actions or support make a product worthless, then you DO have the option to look into that in advance and simply not buy it OR pirate it. Even if a company treats its customers poorly, that certainly doesn't make its products completely without value, and it definitely doesn't justify stealing them.

i agree. if you have put your time and effort into something you should have some credit for it. Its only fair. Yay iv convinced my friend to buy it hes buyin when the final game comes out which is in 1 week and 7 hours ahhhhhhhh! no sleep for a week grr.

There are about 100 research topics per race if I recall correctly. There are also multiple tiers of many of them.

FE EA and their digital downloads all of a sudden you cant download your games for which you have paid for after 6 months or you should pay them 6US or so to be able to add 1.5 year. And if you are unlucky Yep you guessed it right you have to buy the game again.

Protip: Just like in any digital distribution you should ALWAYS back up your game files after you download them on a dvd. While it isn't friendly as steam(download them anytime you want)you do have 6months to do so, dual layer dvds dont cost that much.

Direct2Drive and SDC games you don't need to worry about that either, Gunney. I would not go with EA's version... ever. Buggy, limited download timeframe, and its EA to boot.
