Can I get this pinned?: Post here if you recieve your CE copy in the mail

I am anxious for my copy to get here. Tired of staring at the copies at EB. Acually I feel a little slighted because I paid in December and still don;t have my copy.

Just figured if we have a place to post, everyone can tell if thier ara of the world is getting the mailed copies.

Nothing but retail here in Indiana yet.

We use a software packing company to ship our games for us. They are working as hard as they can to ship out quite a large number (thousands) of games. The packages are being shipped out of their warehouse near Cincinnati, Ohio. They use USPS Priority Mail which takes 2-3 business days to most US locations. International packages are being sent via International First Class mail, which can take 1-2 weeks to arrive.

We are asking for your patience. We cannot pinpoint when packages are shipping for orders that have not been shipped, but rest assured that we are sending shipping information to our shipping partner on a daily basis. A date becomes available when the order is finally shipped.

As you can imagine, we have been flooded with emails that ask "where is my game?". If you have sent an email to [email protected], we are working through them as fast as we can. Sometimes we have to give a generic response because our shipping company has your information and is processing the order, but cannot provide a specific date on which your game will be shipped. We do know that games have begun to arrive on doorsteps as of yesterday.

I wish we had the manpower and resources to ship as quickly as larger entities like Amazon. Believe me, I love it when they ship out my stuff before it actually comes out so I get it on the release date! This is definitely a learning experience for us and we are watching how this pans out very carefully.

I hope most of you have downloaded the game and are already enjoying it. If you haven't received any registration information and believe this is an error, you can always pop your email address into the form at https://www.stardock.com/support/ to get it straightaway.

Again, please be patient with us, we are doing the best we can! Back to email I go...

Melissa and Kim, the gals behind the email

The question is...do "Melissa and Kim" play?!

har har

I'm probably one of those who e-mailed a query because the USPS sucks down here, and I don't care if they read my opinion about'em! How do you lose a W-2 and a new credit card? They managed it!

Regardless, thanks for the update - I think it was the void of information people got confused in - was it shipping, wasn't it. Learning experience for all! But everyone remain happy...for tomorrow you play a 200 planet game, and your eyes will hurt.

Like Spiderpig, we're all just hanging around.

I have an idea...

How about when you process my order and bank my money you take 5 seconds to print out a mailing label and stick it on an empty box. Then take 20 cents of your profit and hire some folks to stick the finished game in that box you labeled back in December and stick it in a mail bag....

Just a thought. If you wanna get REALLLLY CRAZY! Stack the boxes in the order they were labeled so your most loyal and eager customers get thiers fist.

This is simply very poor planning and management.
Thousands of games? Lets just say its 10,000 games. I suspect 1 person who can use both hands could stuff and seal a box in 15 seconds... Thats roughly 1600 in a day if that person works 8 hours and takes 10 minute breaks on the hour.

You could train a monkey to do this in like 5 minutes so lets say you hired 8 monkeys
at $12 an hour. They could stuff around 12,000 boxes in a day for $768. Heck hire them all week and pay $3800 and your shipping is done.

I know I am being a pain but this whole 'pity us, we am a small Indie company' noise is not getting my game here any quicker.

The guy Lincoln, Nebrask got his; I only live 60 miles away across from Omaha in Iowa. So did it get mailed out or lost in mail??????????

I preordered in beta 2; so they might be having more of a "First come first serve" deal, where the longer you've have had it ordered, the more likely you'll get it.

Well, its Wednesday Feb 13, 2007 and still nothing came in the mail. If it was mailed out last Thursday, I would think it would be here within a few business days.

I guess if Fridays comes and still nothing, then I will have to ask for a lost package report or something. :( After all, I do want the Collector's Edition which maybe be limited in quantity.

I wonder if it actualy was not mailed out until Friday night for Stardock distributor. Four days is already gone, jeez I really hope for Thurdays or Friday before the long govt weekend (Monday's President Day I think the post is a day off work).

Getting the game it seems more like pure blind luck. I would suggest using a more reliable software distributor. You done lost me ever ...ever prepaying again. I'm sorry. If it turns out to be the incompetent overpaid USPS monopoly. (Yes lets raise the price of stamps and postage again instead of effecient procedure, or lay off workers like in the real private sector). You have to love those semi- govt jobs.

Finally got mine today.

Perfect condition and everything included.

Still not pleased with the amount of time it took to get. I would rather have paid
less money and bough the retail version.

Oh and by the way... Pirates do suck!!!

So did you guys get an email when your order shipped saying anything like "Hey fella, we shipped your order today!" or did the box just show up on your doorstep all surprise-like?

I finially got my copy this evening Feburary 14, 2007.

I can tell you what happen. Stardock shipped it out actually Feb 6, 2007; but the format on the shipping label is a bit backwards and the USPS shipped it back to Stardock!

It was then reshipped back to me with a big circle drawn around the SHIP HERE adress.

Format on label
------------------------------------
SHIP TO
xxxxxx

_______________ SHIPPED FROM
_______________ xxxxxx

----------------------------------

Which for anyone that may still mail out a letter, is backwards and can be confusing if you are expecting the 'Ship to" adress to be down in the lower right hand corner.

I would suggest to change th ship label to the standard format.

I pre-ordered on Jan. 18th. Still no game as of today :(

It's the #2 selling game in north america, so you know they had to have shipped LOTS of copies to the retailers.

IMO,they should have shipped out the pre-orders first!

Yes, I got to download the game, but that's not what I paid $54 for.

I've been a long term Stardock supporter, but this bites!
