Can I get this pinned?: Post here if you recieve your CE copy in the mail

I am anxious for my copy to get here. Tired of staring at the copies at EB. Acually I feel a little slighted because I paid in December and still don;t have my copy.

Just figured if we have a place to post, everyone can tell if thier ara of the world is getting the mailed copies.

Nothing but retail here in Indiana yet.

I don't have mine yet and I'm in Michigan. But I downloaded on Monday and have been playing nearly every night since. Have you not downloaded it yet?

Northern Ohio Here. Didn't get it yet.

It usually takes about a week or 2 for physical copies from Stardock because they use the regular US postal Service.

It was a week or 2 for Galciv, GalCiv2 Dread Lords, and GalCiv2 Dark Avatar.

I'm thinking tomorrow, Saturday, or Monday. (Unless there's a holiday on Monday)

No Rush if you download it though. The Boxed copy is already outdated. I usually get it as a backup.

I want my copy mainly for the physical items and I can finally sit down and read the manaul. I just dont want to read an 80 page manual over the computer. I'm hoping I recieve it tommorow. It better not arrive in a week or two(Thought they used priority mail anyways) because that would be highway robbery charging 10USD for shipping that takes 2 weeks.

My motherboard's shipping was only ~5USD over at newegg. However I did read from an ICO employee that they should be arriving at the end of the week so all is well.

I emailed about this last night actually, got a response this morning:

Hello,

You order has entered the shipping process and is expected to leave our shipping partner by the end of this week. We use USPS Priority Mail, so please allow 2-3 business days for it to arrive.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

So looks like we'll probably see them Monday or Tuesday. Not the best response time, but at least we've got the game to play. ;)

This is regarding the collector's edition copies. Not just the regular from the stores. :) Those probably went out real quick. ;)

I am in Kalamazoo, MI which is about 1.5 hours from Stardock. I haven't gotten mine either, this is of course assuming they have shipped them and that it is shipping from Plymouth, MI.

As far as I know, only the review copies were shipped directly from Stardock HQ. We are not set up to ship large numbers of games and the last time we did so it was a distraction from actually writing them, so we don't do that anymore.

Oh that's fine. I like how you guys allow digitally downloading games you bought in box version. That makes it very convenient for the customer.

Keep up the good work! I tell all my friends to buy your games before any other!

Interesting. I emailed on the 4th and asked when I could expect to see mine and got the EXACT same response....

4th... 8th.... Couple of days.... whenever you want to get around to actually supporting your most loyal customers is fine I suppose.

I will wait patiently but not sure I order again or even recomend this to anyone. Pretty crappy service to see the retail version on shelves for a week before you get your pre-order. That is IF I get mine by Tuesday.

Just an update. I still do not have the boxed collector's edition sent to me yet. I pre-ordered July 2007, I e-mailed Stardock sales (Feb 7) but no response yet (got a ticket number).

Today is Saturday Feburary 9, 2007. Wil it show up Monday??

The *ing thing is at retail, and us who pre-order (excuse me pre-paid) still got nothing a week later??

Am I in the minority?

I'm in Iowa...Michigan is not that far away. Can we get an update on what is going on.

Damn if I ever pre-pay for a game again. Sorry for the bitching, but whatever.

First? Someone better show up and say they got theirs yesterday. It's just wrong for some guy in putzville oklahoma eight miles outside the nearest town to have gotten it first.

Would like to note that I downloaded it monday night and didn't actually need the box, unless you're on dial-up, you really didn't need to wait for your box eh?

Lincoln, Nebraska
Got it today. I think they spent more time on the manual than the game; it's huge!
Montana, got mine today. (two days after I changed my shipping address with stardock too, very fast)

I still hasn't got my but did download, but I rather to have manual book over computer any day, I dont like read from computer but please dont blame stardock, it's USPS Priority Mail but even so dont blame on USPS Priority Mail, worker in USPS Priority Mail are may be slow work due to low wage, costly to live in USA, Patience! if more then 10 day or 2 week then ask Stardock, if stardock is a speader, then it's thier job to check USPS Priority Mail, not your job, because you are not spender unless you are the spender then your job check on USPS Priority Mail, that'it.

Um... you can download it right away, that takes away a lot of the "sting" of waiting. Personally, I couldn't care how long it took them to get the box to me (I just got it today).

Um, retailers get the game weeks before any of us can get our grubby hands on it. And give them some credit; they aren't a major company that can spend hundreds of thousands on getting orders to people as fast as possible.

Huh?

No. Retailers got thiers Monday or Tuesday of last week. Now thier wharehouse may have had it for a while before that.

Credit? I am giving them credit, in the form of my money just like a retailer.
Are you saying that it is easier for them to send X thousand copies to EB's wharehouse than to send mine to my address? Then raise the price a little and hire some people to stick labels on boxes.

My bottom line is that had I known that this company (who obviously are MUCH better at producing software than they are are shipping it and taking care of thier most loyal customers) was going to ship thier product to corporate giants before the guy who ordered directly from them, I would have bought it at retail and paid $5 less.

At this point who cares about a CE when I am still without my product.

Oh and also... YES I KNOW I CAN DOWNLOAD IT. I did.... I STILL don't have my manual, box, disc and whatever else took so long that it delayed my shipment.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

Hell ya! I STILL do not have my hard CD copy either. WTF STARDOCK, this is BS.

I e-mailed them last week. No response.

Yes, wait until Arnor is out.

Come on..I can't see any official statement on this situation. Are we in the minority or did alot people get the shaft??

The guy Lincoln, Nebrask got his; I only live 60 miles away across from Omaha in Iowa. So did it get mailed out or lost in mail??????????

Whoa, I just ordered mine online night before last and figured I'd pop by the forum to see how long I can expect to wait. Guess I should just go ahead and print out the pdf manual (I'm one of those gamers who insists on a generous helping of printed manual with my strategy).

Guys, remember that Stardock is still a relatively small publisher, so the logistics in coping with a huge amount of orders is probably a bit of a nightmare. I don't know if any of you are familiar with Shrapnel Games or Dominions 3, but the company I work for did all the manuals for them. Shrapnel is also an indie publisher, and I remember how badly they underestimated the amount of orders they'd get for Dom3. Even more clear is the memory of just about everyone at my company running around helter-skelter trying to get more manuals made for them so they could ship more orders out so everyone on the forums would stop complaining. Hehe.

Whatever the cause of the shipping delays, chalk it up to Stardock being a small company and not as prepared to deal with stuff like this as an Atari or an Ubisoft. They more than make up for it with the digital download, so take advantage of that and be patient! Believe me, I want my printed goodies just as much as the next guy, but as someone who's caught a glimpse of the inner workings of the indie PC game publishing world, I can understand the potential difficulties in coping with a large number of online orders.

I'm guessing that, as was the case with Dominions 3, the root cause of some people not receiving their orders yet is that the game is exceeding initial sales projections. And, if you like this game, the fact that you haven't received your box yet is actually cause for celebration! Silver lining people, silver lining!

Um, yeah. So when is my order going to ship?

Well, I guess your post makes feel better. I can't seem to edit my post to tone it down some. I do hope it did not get lost in the mail.

I really do try to support Indie Companies since they are usually the only ones making decent game with brains anymore these days. The big publisher seem to favor all graphics and brain dead FPS games for consoles.

EDIT: I just got this e-mail so I guess the USPS is taking time to get here. Maybe today Tuesday I hope.   :D
