Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

hello all,

I just wanted to say that we are working hard, and to show it I have a new ship for the Asuran Fleet.  Here is the Figaro Class holoship.  The original model was built by RJB and this low poly rebuild was done by me.  Here are two shots of the ship, the first being an orthos and the second a size comparison.

do you mean use drones in the sense of the weapon Drones? or like unmanned drone craft?

either way, i dont think the Asurans would use simple machines (insofar as a semi-sentient craft) to do their bidding as they think of themselves as the 'children' of the ancients, and so they try to emulate their parents, even so far as to actually pilot a jumper etc manually, rather than 'interface' with it directly.

and why not use only jumpers? because in Sins you need to be able to distingush from fighters and bombers, so someone came up with a clever new ship...

i guess i should have specified ^_^'   i ment a UAV type craft but since u mention the drone weapons why need bombers at all 2 or 3 aroura class ships and the battle is over once drones are launched and u'd think that they'd have point defence or anti strike craft ships to aid in battle too. idk some how i just cant picture the replicators using strike craft for anything but scouting. on another note those ships look (whats the word) i cant find the word thats how good they look, so keep up that great work!

Hey all,

Well i'm glad thats all over now, the stupid busy 2 weeks of the year are over and work is going back to normal. Days off are back in place as well now :).

I so wish to play your mod, it looks awsome and I am unsure why the creators of Stargate never released a game similar to sins of a solar empire. Please keep us informed of when you release it as it looks awsome, and I think everyone recognises the amount of effort, time and hard work you have put in to achieve this.

i want to know why the creators (or whoever is appropriate) of stargate never created a gme fullstop...

i think there is an MMO version that never took off, as well as some sort of FPS that got canned, but if they (had at the height of the SG franchise, i think its a little old now...) released a good, well done SG game, either FPS or RTS or 1 of each, they would have made alot of money... they worst thing would be to release a shitty, bad graphics, 2 month job just for the sake of releasing a game...

this is true. Stargate Worlds was cancelled after about a year of development, and I beleive on Ark of Truth DVD they have a little spot trailer for the game too.

That's funny... Stargate Worlds development seems to be going strong still... they have a beta and everything on the main website for the game... anymore information or proof of this Eomega? :S

From the progress I've seen I doubt they would have canceled it... after all the work they put into it why cancel if they were going to start a beta?

Hello to everyone,

At this time, I have decided that releasing a beta would probably be the safest bet to keep interest alive for Stargate Invasion.

So with this new change of heart and opening the mod for beta release, we will be looking for anywhere between 10-15 beta testers to give us feedback on how the mod plays, what could use a change with and what is perfect the way it is. 

Now, each beta testers application will be processed by the entire team, and the selected few will receive a reply letting them know that they have been selected and will receive instructions on how to proceed to get the Beta.

It will take us at least a week to get all our files sorted out and ready for a beta, so from this point until I let everyone know, please send your applications in.  It would also help us greatly if some of our beta testers could model, and texture, even code.  It is not a requirement though.  It would help us get the mod done that much faster, and closer to a full release for everyone to enjoy.

Now, once the beta has been tested, and all the models are textured for the Humans, we will be doing a release for everyone to play.  And then we will focus on the Asurans, then to the Wraith last.  This is just a basic plan, but it is what I have been thinking about for the last few days.

So without further ado, please send your applications for Beta to [email protected] and we will get back to you when we get our files sorted out.

Hey guys. Remember me? Just wanted to pop in and say 'hey.' The mod is coming along great! I knew you guys could manage without me. ;) I've been pretty busy with school and such, but I'm finally re-downloading SOASE, hoping to have a renewed interest in the game. So, anyway, glad to see everything is going great. And glad to see the SOASE community still going strong. Keep up the good work, SI, team.

I didnt mean  that why hadnt people asked to be beta testers here, i meant that Eomega just made a huge announcement that changes the timeline everyone had for the Mod and I  didnt see any response from the community, maybe they did  send their applications and their thoughts to the  mail so point taken.

Same day, i have setup the section for these two mods and Danman have reply :
I'll let the guys on those teams know right away.  Some of them like us, are on multiple teams, so there is overlap.

So, like it was asked, i have setup a section for you but nothing since... today, a guy called Donado have propose on the DMG forum, in your non-used section to help you with particule effect... maybe it is a good idea to make a detailed post about job who need to be done...

Several mods dev there are not specialy affiliate with one single mod... they simply pick-up a job who please them and make it... myself, i am called Fileosoft there and i am a modeler... have make models for the B5 mod, the Halo mod, The tri-pirate mod, the Empire mod, etc... and i am not the only guy working for several mods...

Don't know what have be the discussion between you and Danman... but what have you to loose by making a post here for ask help ? The worse is no reply... the best is some more people helping you and your mod !!!
