Race dead but still alive?

I have just killed off the Drengins, but they still show in the Diplomacy screen. They have no planets but 1 or 2 ships left. Is it a case of killing the rest of their bits off or what?

They should be dead with their last planet gone... maybe you missed one- have you looked at every star?

Give it a turn... I killed somebody a couple games back, and it took a turn before the game realized all their planets were gone and zapped them from the galaxy completely. :)
