After playing yet another satisfying game of Sins today, a thought hit me in regards to some of the upgrades and technology you research in the game.
If you look at the little buttons for the various weapon upgrades and such, you can see that each consequent weapon upgrade looks more visually powerful on the button art. My question is, why doesn't it (as far as I can tell) look more visually impressive in-game as well?
Ships with better weapon upgrades should have bigger more powerful and intense looking weapon attacks (as the upgrade buttons seem to indicate) in the actual game. Each researched shield technology should show a more powerful looking shield effect when the ship is hit by weapon fire. Armour upgrades could be visually represented on the ship's texture.
Mind you some of these would take a fair bit of work but I think alot of people would love to see it happen. As with any graphical suggestion presented on these forums it would be an additional option in the graphics configuration menu so as to not change the game's minimum requirements.
