Hahaha, this is one of the best threads I have read on this forum so far, as it has it all: people desperate for help, angry people, accusations of trolling, arguments, back-seat moderating, thread-hijacking. All that's missing is an account banning, but you can't have everything.
Just to add value to the thread, here's my RTFM moment (means Read The F******* Manual):
I was playing my first game as TEC verse Advent on easy, random 1vs1 map. My homeworld was in a branch attached to a colonizable asteroid and volcano world, isolated 2 jumps from the main solar system by areas with no colonizable worlds or asteroids. I as I was turtling up my ships and tech and defending against pirate rates I noticed the Advent symbols were slowing spreading around the rest of the system.
After four hours, suddenly my 12cr/second income dropped to 2cr/second. I clicked on my homeworld to find out what happened and found my homeworld was no longer my own and none of my tactical or logistic structures were working.
I saw the Advent culture line had finally spread out to reach my homeworld from the rest of the system, which killed the influence on my planet and made it neutral. After slapping my hand to my forehead, I freed up a logistics slot on my asteroid-base and built a broadcast center. About 5 minutes later I had the homeworld taken back, and began the slow process of upgrading the planet again so all my slotted facilities would work again.
Welp, the moral of the story: Read the manual and study a new RTS game before playing it, no matter if you have been playing RTS games for over 10 years.
