if you or the people who join your game get minidumps during multiplayer ONLY (not in singleplayer) and they happen about when you first see the other player's ships out of the fog of war, dont bother reinstalling, installing XP, nVIDIA drivers, bloom, changing computers, or any of the other ridiculous fixes they suggest. Just play another game until they decide to fix this problem, (which is a game logic desynchronization, by their own admission to me in email), and hopefully it will still have a community.

In the MP games that I have played I have seen enemy ships and pirates. I can play the game pretty much up to the 10min mark then it crashes. I have played on teams, no teams ETC and every game mode there is I have tried and tested to see if I could narrow things down to what causes it. I do not thing that it is when I "first see enemy ships" because I have fought battles leading up to the 10min mark and then it crashes. I have hosted a LAN game on a small map and had the other guy "rush" me as fast as possible. We fought that battle out no problem. If this is a desync error I'm not sure what is causing it. Or why only in games I join would it occur. Everyone, on my lan, can play without me and not get it.

The ONLY thing I can think of that is explicitly different than the other people is that I have the Direct Downloaded version. No idea why I did think of that before until just now. But, possibly, are the people here who get minidumps (constantly like me not just random ones) have the Direct Download Version also?

I started mini dumping ever since I changed my port number from 6112 to 6111 in the game

My game ran fine for the first week I played it, now i'm getting minidumps and i cant play at all, I got the game directly from the store, installed the 1.03 patch right away, no mods, no hardware issues, wtf????

I have the box version. 10 minutes, eh? sounds like autosave. id tell you to disable autosave, but i already did that and it still happens. However, my opponents still had autosave on most likely, so its plausible thats the reason. See if you and your opponents disable autosave (instructions to do that are somewhere on the forum, you have to edit a config file) if you want to put some of your time into helping ironclad fix their hit pc game.

anyway like ive said, my paycheck doesnt say ironclad on it, so im going to wait until they fix this one and stop screwing around with it and keep my help limited to bitching about it on the forum.

you have no idea how much i have actually done to research this, yes autosave was tested ... it is not autosave
