Ok so I am just throwing this idea out there because I am a Halo fanatic and I think that this game could easily incorporate the Halo universe into it. I am not a very good designer but I can provide support and more ideas. There are already two races that could easily be changed into the Humans and the Covenant( TEC and Advent). All we would have to do would be to change ships some and add  gauss guns to most TEC Cap ships. I know this might take a long time but if it means that we will finally have a Halo space combat game then it will be well worth it.

canada would you rather have the shield ability be a full restore or a rapid restore?
if rapid should it be interuptable as in damage will stop the ability?

pending canadaman's final approval i have tweaked the destroyers mesh cause it looked to similar i have changed some key features and made it look thicker and raised all of the armor plates

During the whole Longsword weapon arguement, I realized something else. Longswords are really fucking big. It said they're like the size of a Boeing 747. And so compared to most UNSC ships (All cept maybe big cruisers and caps) they'd be pretty big. So, maybe we shouldn't do the whole Sins squad thing and infact make each Longsword it's own individual fighter, or at most put a squadron of 2-3. Since they'd be a lot more visible, and much bigger, it'd just seem odd to have flights of 5-7.

Also, since Keyes is appearantly giving Longswords limited missiles, I thought I should mention a Longsword has 4 anti-fighter missiles, but if you're seperating them to Bomber Longswords and Fighter Longswords, I'd recomend giving the fighter variant like, 10 anti-fighter missiles. I mean lets face it, if they aint lugging around other munitions like bombs and anti-cap missiles, they can fit a lot more then 4 fighter to fighter missiles.

I don't think that they are quite as big as a Boeing 747 (you see one crash on the arc). However we don't know how big the fighters in sins are, so I think that the squads are fine. It is going to be hell to code individual missiles. (I think)

Well Aridias, the Longswords ingame don't ever look that big, but we've never really gotten good looks at them, they've allways been god knows how high in the air. The only time we got a good look at one was on the first Halo, and that thing easily had the wing spand of a Boeing 747, and I prolly shoulda phrased that better. It said it had the wingspan of a 747 but was about half the length, which it seemed like compared to the Flood. I also looked at a size chat and it'd prolly take 15-20 longswords to cover up a frigate. You could prolly carry a total of 4 Longswords in a frigate, maybe 20 in a halcyon and the like. And they do show up against the ships.

Say, a Kol is the size of a Halcyon, then a Longsword would be double, maybe triple the size of a TEC fighter. So having them work in squads might feel clunky ingame. I mean imagine having a single unit with 5 ships half the size of a Cobalt flying in formation, just wouldn't seem right.

Really? Sweet. Was it still the same size or did they scale it down? I'm guessing they scaled it down since putting a ship with the wingspan of a Boeing 747 on their map would seem a bit.... excessive.

What are you guys doing with the mod now, anyways? I mean..... before it was just, when atleast some of the UNSC ships were done (Frigate, destroyer, marathon, halcyon) were done, you were gonna release a sort of mini-alpha mod. Is that changed or what?
