Ok so I am just throwing this idea out there because I am a Halo fanatic and I think that this game could easily incorporate the Halo universe into it. I am not a very good designer but I can provide support and more ideas. There are already two races that could easily be changed into the Humans and the Covenant( TEC and Advent). All we would have to do would be to change ships some and add  gauss guns to most TEC Cap ships. I know this might take a long time but if it means that we will finally have a Halo space combat game then it will be well worth it.

If you guys need help making the in game buttons in a few days i'm sure i could work up something... but i'd need to be given some pictures of the ships so i can get to work on those buttons...

also if someone could please P.M. me a place to get this mod I'd be happy so i can start to test it out...

What is the source of the image of the longsword? They may have changed the size between games, like the design of the frigates.

the size of the longsword has already been scaled new subject auto cannons for point defense on the unsc ships low range so if a fighter gets really close hes f'ed plus will add to teh effect

Well, unlike their UNSC counterparts, Seraphs don't have missiles and can only shoot plasma. So I'd reckon they'd have to get pretty close otherwise the plasma would dissipate.

If possible, put an accuracy meter on it. So like, it CAN shoot really far, it just wont hit squat. But there's a "kill zone" where it's extremely accurate.

Plasma is plasma, and master or not, it will dissipate. And I don't think Seraphs have the magnetic locks that the big ships had for their torps. So I'd imagine a Seraphs fireing range wouldn't be all that great.

completely correct Colt if you read the attack on pergasi delta you find out that the seraph's plasma dissipates quite quickly, especially in atmosphere.

Heaven, your Seraph is flying backwards in the second pic. Seraphs fly with the dome side forward, and the forks back.

well you can see one on the level where you kill the heretic leader in halo2 its the ship in the hanger

If this is going up for beta soon ill gladly test and check for continuity errors as well as other things to make sure while close to cannon as possible its still fun to play :p

On another subject, seraphs and longswords fight on even ground in space, in atmosphere longswords have the advantage. just so ya all know

Oh also for all those hoping for a quick design sorta thing like sketch ups, look up battleships forever in google and use their ship builder program. Its 2d but that should be enough to get a good side/overhead shot of a ship without much effort.

You can also see a Seraph fly past the window in Halo 2, when Master Chief is about to take the bomb to the covie ship. It's being chased by two Longswords and you can see that it flies with it's forks facing back.

remember that even the seraphs had shielding. Mabey canadaman777 can put that into the mod.....

Unfortunately, the Freespace Mod wanted to do that for their fighters and they discovered strike craft can't be given shields. Something about not having a slot for them.

i just checked the entity files theres no shield slot
either way shields would only make balencing that much harder for the covenant ships.
