Downloaded beat 6, game crashes as soon as I start it.

I had problems too. CTD without any message. BUT.. it only seems to happen when I use saved games from a previous version. I even reloaded arnor. Time to clean out my old saved games I guess.

I got this too. I had a really great game going too. Oh well, time to start another great game.

Try installing this > mfc71.zip and see if that sorts the issue out. The latest beta uses it for the editors but it may stop the game from loading too. Worth a try i guess.

yea i did this before i loaded the whole thing. I checked it for virus ( mfc71.zip) after it ctd but it came up clean. I tried a new game an played for about 3 hours without a ctd. I will reload that file if I plan to use the editor ,but the patch will come out probly before that. Oh btw
I got hit with a virus last week .... I lay in bed fot a week. I'm glad they sent this out regardless. Way to go STARDOCK !

Mine does the same thing. I can't lose my game! It's huge and I've been playing it for months! Help!

A good rule of thumb is to never upgrade except between games.

Ah, crud! I had an awesome game going,too!  

We put up a new version of the Beta yesterday.  Grab that and let us know if you have any problems.

ps.  Heads up to the guy hosting mfc71.dll: among other things, yesterday's update makes it so you don't need MFC71.dll on your PC to use the editors anymore.
