I'm having an interesting (read: pull your hair out annoying) issue attempting to install Sins. When i run the installer from the CD, it gives me an error in the InstallAware wizard, where it cannot find
C:\Docume~\username\Local~\temp\mia1\welcome.dfm.miaf
the mia# increments each time i attempt an install.
A bit of background...
I downloaded and installed the demo successfully over the weekend. Played through the tutorials and the small maps. Mostly I was concerned as I have an older PC, but the game played quite well.
Today I went to the store and purchased the CD, came home and installed it. It gave me an error. I figured it was a conflict with the demo, so I uninstalled the demo and installed the retail version. It worked fine. Ran the program and encountered some wierd graphic glitches in the background of the menu. Tried running a game and crashed with a minidump.
I got the 1.03 patch and installed it, with no improvement.
I have updated my video driver and direct X, no improvement.
I uninstalled the game, reboot, and tried to install again. And now I'm getting the error with the InstallAware.
Just to test, I reinstalled the demo, and it works just fine, and plays fine too.
Any suggestions? Is there any place to email tech support directly?
