Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.
7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Just keep reloading the game and trying until you actually get into the game and play. This is a Windows problem, not a problem with Sins or 7DS.

The ultimate combo mod, the "unoffical" expansion of Sins of a Solar Empire, or so it has been dubbed by the mod community.

New classes of strikecraft squadrons and Capitalships/Dreadnoughts/Titans with fixed number of Squadrons
Cruiser Squads of 3 strikecraft

Mobile Starbases -all races possess starbases that can move about the gravity well to interdict enemy forces -assault carefully.

 

12 Playable Races with their own traits that make them more unique, from being a total offensive race, to a highly researching race. Each race now has its own unique tactics of gameplay.

Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might
Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection.
TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.
Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order
Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.

TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.
The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine
Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan.
Ship research boosts weapon performance.

DARK FLEET- modified Vasari
The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey.
Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.

Imperial Armada- from Star Wars
Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer.
Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.

Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates
Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery.
Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships

Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games
Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.

Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games
Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.

Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games
Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.

Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods)
The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.

Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games
As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.

Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers
The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

Also, the movie is progressing nicely, as I am also making more ships happen for the Atlantians.  It should be done hopefully soon, and then the BETA "D" shortly after that.  Hopefully things will go smoothly.

I have been trying to download 1.3d patch for a week already, it keeps stopping in the middle of the download from filefront. is there any chance we can get a rapidshare link??? It is really frustrating!!

Wow, I can see people have been giving me some Karma!  That is awesome.  I thought that people didn't think I was doing a good job or something there for awhile.....

 

Anyways,

The Atlantian offensive research tree is almost done, and I am now ironing out some bugs.  Should be done soon.  Also, movie is in production, and SamazRalan is also making some movies for me too.  Should have some stuff to post in a few days.

can someone post here the path for installing this mod in XP? I tried in the hidden Application Data directory but there is no Sins of a Solar Empire in there.

You need to turn your hidden files ON.

This is the only way to find it.

Also, "D" should be done soon hopefully.  I have made great progress in the past few days.

7DS Atlantians Movie -almost 6 minutes long.  RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS.

85mb, 1024x768 (seriously... support for different resolutions in windowed mode is needed -resizing that window is a PITA)
Some low framerate segments, I sent 6 supercaps, 10 subcaps, + 2 heavy support fleets vs 9 Vasari capitals + a large contingent of cruisers/frigs.

I found the super hidden folder. I just checked the Mods Folder path in the game then looked for it that way. I like the mod.

Hey DANMAN, could you incorporate some higher fleet counts into 2.0? Could you tweak the default small, medium, and large fleet sizes so that medium would max out at 2k and large could go to 3 or 4k? I don't know how to do it myself, so i ask :)

Only thin is, you will have to remake it when I release the new Atlantians!  OMG, that was awesome....  Brought me a tear or two....

 

Anyways,

CmdLeeAdama, actually this has already been done for 2.0, so your prayers have been answered.  Okay, things are getting closer people.  I just finished another round of tecs for the Atlantians, and just for the weapons, I have 27 new techs to explore.

Just to keep you all in the loop.  Also, with the new storyline (will be fully released) the Atlantians are now two separate races joined as one.  They originated as one, then split, and have now unified to take on the new threats, including the extermination of the Vasari at their hands.  The Atlantians will now also parallel the story of the Orions from Master of Orion.  They are now the same race.  As such, the Atlantians will have two distinct types of ships.  One type will be like the Advent and the Vasari designs, but highly customized and changed to be Atlantian. These ships will represent the Orions.  The other will be the Aquatic/Organic ships I have been talking about, who will be the Atlantians we all know, but have never really seen.  This change is both to save time, but to also bring the whole story together as one unified universe.  Also, in the future, expect to see some of the Atlantians direct descendants and the close ancestors to humans.  After 2.0 is released, expect to see the next step in the Atlantians story line.....

I should have more to report soon.

    Colonise a Paradise Planet and make it your Capitial

7) Rave Break (also on Paradise planets)

acheivments

win a game as each race

construction warrior: win a game using only atlantian drones (that is if they can still build stuff, i cannot remember)

Dominant power: beat each of the new races 

mothership sighted: build an atlantian colony cap

think tank: research all available techs during a game

wanderer or wandering rogue: win the game as rouge without colonizing any other worlds (I am not sure if this can be created as an achievment)

The Avatar returns: build an atlantian avatar

Mind Control: capture a ship using the lrm's ability

Galactic police: beat the pirates

explorer: colonize the new planet types

I'll think of more in the morning

I have one:

 

If you post a certain amount of bounty (way more than it is now), you get the distinction of having the "Jabba the Hutt" achievement.

 

If you collect a certain amount get the "Boba Fett" achievement.  Everyone knows Boba Fett is the nastiest bounty hunter of all time.  So stop looking at me like that.

 

For finding an active smuggler's base: "IRS Agent".  No one but an IRS agent (or equivalent) could find an active smuggler's base.

 

On an unrelated note: any chance of changing some of the planet and star names?  I mean, we have the Empire, so we need names like Corellia, Mon Calamari, and Coruscant.  Plus the good stuff like Earth (who doesn't want Earth as their homeworld?), Reach (for UNSC of course), Capella, Caprica, Kobol, you get the frakkin idea here.  And for stars, well we can do Earth's names for stars, like Tau Ceti, Epsilon Eridani, Epsilon Indi, Capella, Betelgeuse, Gamma Draconis, Sol, Beta Aquilae, Wolf 359, Delta Serpentis.

 

Basically the vanilla planet/star names need some work.  They suck.

I can work on adding/changing star/planet names.  I already have a section in my excel workbook on English.string edits and star/planet names is one.  About 60 new planet names lie dormant waiting.  I showed some to Danman a while ago, but I've been lazy and not emailed the section to him.

i agree, most of the names I put on there were the first things that sprung to mind at 1 in the morning

Also, what are acheivments stored under (where are they or what are they called), i am interested in adding my own and may be able to help you create these achievments
