Cooperative vs AI?

Hi,

I'm interested in Sins of a Solar Empire but have yet to buy it, can anyone tell me if you have the option to play online cooperatively but with AI opponents?

Sorry if this is answered somewhere already, my search of the site and boards found nothing.

Cheers for any help you cna offer.

You certainly can. The AI does lack a bit here or there, but it is being improved and if 1.03 is any hint of where they're going with the AI - It is a step in the right direction, in my opinion of course. Many have different views on the AI.

Yes, you can do the old Comp Stomp, as Surumon is saying, the AI is lacking in some defense points. But this wouldnt be a game if you could play versus PC's online.

Huzzah for 9 humans versus v 1 computer! Easy wins!

Hehe, well, the AI can be rather challenging if you start changing around ratios with MP games but they still have the one core issue - running away. I don't know if it's just me and my games, but in every one if the AI looks like they may even have a chance of losing a battle they up and run every time, without fail.

Yep, you can do this. Set your human buddies on one team and some AI players on another team, and enable locked teams. Good to go. :)

(You can also play you and a computer against your friend and a computer, or you, your friend, and a computer against 3 computers, etc.)

3v5 or 4v6 comps works well with the new ai difficulty setting, i havent played smaller ratios, however just starting off with your friends when you get the game the old 2v3 would work well to learn the game (past turorials)
