Please change the vasari's voice !!

Please change the vasari's voice !!

I actually like the race alot, because of some good abilities and the ships look cool, however, the voice acting is just to bad to listen to. It sounds like they are singing, but with a voice thats sounds like there are going to die. " struuuuuctuuuurreee compleette... lol. I know they are aliens, but i cant take them seriously.

From my heart and from my hand, why don’t people understand my creations?

It’s alive! It’s alive!

Man, there are just too many kids playing video games these days; nuanced, multi-level movie references go wasted. I’ll go take my grognardy old-man hat and sit on the front porch now while I yell at them to get off my lawn.

I'm not a transformers fan so who did the voice has no impact on what I think. Listening to the Vasari gets as annoying as listening to the Chinese or MEC forces in Battlefield 2. Only difference is that you can understand the Vasari. It could be worse though...the voices could just be people breathing and burping into microphones like the Zerg in Starcraft. :p Again though, this is a design decision.

I think there should be a new voice over added to the robotics cruisers. I want to hear them say "Great Scott!" or "this is heavy".

The first time I played, I was ordering the TEC light frigate around and the voice-acting felt very amateur. One of the order voices is mumbled, I forget which one, but if you cycle through, the last word in the sentence is grabbled.

And the Advent - they remind me of being at a daycare with little pesky kids everywhere. I am still waiting for a ship in phase space to say "Are we there yet?"

Is this the same voice talent that did Argonian voice work for Oblivion? It sounds really similar, so just wondering. I personally like all three and think they give a great flavor for each race!

The voice work definitely isn't a strong point of this game. It's very bland. It almost sounds like the designers themselves did the voices to save money.

Not that it's bad, it's just blah. If the game were a meal at a fine restaurant the voice work would be a grilled cheese sandwich accidentally delivered to your table.

The one ship that I find particularly grating is the TEC Dreadnought. It sounds like a chronic smoker is trying to sound tough.

Remember, if you ever get stranded on a planet with a Vasari, and are forced to fight him, make a primative gun out of bamboo, charcoal, sulfur, and diamonds. . . .

Seriously, is there a toggle to turn off the voices? Hearing "Ready for action" for EVERY single ship you build is getting on my nerves.

WWW LinkThe Vasari voices are perfectly fine. If you find them to be such a deterrent that you can't stand the race, then you simply need to grow up.

I want to know what horrible throat related accident Star Stream's voice actor got involved in becasue I really feel sorry for him. I'd rather have Gilbert Godfree do the Vasari :(

Some of the voices are good, but only in a so-bad-that-its-funny kinda way.
How you get cool out of the robotics cruiser is beyond me.The first time I built a bunch of robotics cruisers, I thought I was under attack from advent culture bombing or somethingBEHOLD MY CREATIONSBEHOLD MY CREATIONSBEHOLD MY CREATIONS...I do like the temple of communion selection noise. I wish you could tune in to that thing for more than 4 seconds.

The Vasari voices are pure guilty pleasure. They are extremely over the top. It is hard not to laugh. They should not be changed.

Hmmm, the only voices I found really annoying were the Advent "This light shall cleanse!" for example. I like the TEC and Vasari, I especially like the Vasari planet killer, they should of made more of them sound like that "You dare threaten me??!!" lol. The TEC voices remind me of humans from Star Wars for some reason, one of my favs is probably the light carrier. They shoulda thrown in a British accent.

He means that if you can't stand a voice from an actor famous for his work in the demanding 5-10y/o demographic, you should .. um.

What?

Someone could make their own voice overs and mod them in. You'd just have to name each sound file the same as the original and swap them out.

I find it a bit funny that a user named StarscreamX is complaining about the voice work done by the guy who voiced Starscream

In the beta i did some new voice for the TEC and abit for the Vasari. But was deleted as it seemed to have no interrest But here is a video made by aldarian where i made the Vasari voice http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/160052.html

Hm, Borg like Vasari. Much better :D
I think they dont have necessarily to "say" anything at all. I was able to recognize the selected unit in starcraft too, and the Zerg weren't really "saying" anything. And i loved the selection gimmicks in WC3 when you selected them multiple times :D.

I should point out that if the voices really annoy you that much, you can
turn your sound off.Just thought I'd point that out.
