Single player computer opponents battle grou size

I have been playing this game for nearly a week. I have beat the computer in 1V1 games, but only as the Advent. I generally have noticed that the computer opponent end up with a battle group that is much BIGGER than mine. I currently have a standoff in a single player 3 opponent. It's the small scenario Balance Of Power game, which I can't win even though I control the majority of planets.

I concerns me that the gamers designed this whereby the opposition HAS, what twice the size battle group I'd guess.

I don't see how one can be expected to beat an opponent twice ones size. I have the game set on the easiest leve too. I have all of my abilities developed to max, except for my battle ship which currently is at level 6.

I pretty quickly obtained the majority position of planets, then one pretty much has to max develop everything, cause I can't beat an opponent with TWO BATTLESHIPS.

I mean WHY give the opponents a much bigger force. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I like to here what other have experience in single player mode. I'm kind of disappointed.

My best result was achieving peace with one faction, when together we could wipe out the 3rd. Then that was the end cause his battle group was twice the size of mine.

Tony, did you upgrade your fleet supply (the third window in the research panel)?

If no, that's your problem right there. If you're trying to play a 1v1v1 map with only a 100 supply cap, it's no wonder you're getting trounced.

The AI is not "given" a bigger force, it simply outbuilds you. The Sins AI does not cheat at all. What it does you can do better. The only "cheat" is the Unfair AI resource advantage - but the other AIs difficulties do not get any artificial advantages.

Practice makes perfect :)
