Advent build order:
1. up planet
2. crystal mine, cap ship factory
3. mothership or radiance at cap ship factory
4. Colony frigate if chose radiance
5. 1 scout, 1 metal mine, 1 scout, 1 metal mine, 1 scout, 4 and only four diciples
6. Expand to first roid
7. If there is no adjacent roid, either you're on Devil's Den or you're fucked
8. Up Roid, buy mines, crystal first, metal second
9. If the lavas/ice/terrans/deserts around you have more than 5 pirate ships, max out with diciples only for the first tier
10. This is where it gets map specific. It's very hard to say where to go from here. If the adjacent planets are lavas or ices, then build two econ labs to get the tech to colonize them.
11. If you think you will be rushed, or someone will get to you before you can get to that third planet, build the three military labs to get illums. Disciples are garbage against a human opponent. I only ever use them against pirates.
12. You can go 2 econ labs and then three military labs, or vice versa. It depends on how soon you want/need those illums.
13. Once you have illums going, you're fine. Enjoy.
That's just a general guide. I almost always fine tune this somehow because every map will demand something different. If you're an Advent and you get lucky with 2 or more adjacent asteroids, you are beyond golden. You can make labs, expand, and buy a fleet BEFORE everyone else or just as quick. The illum is supposed to take a while to get to, but if you can get them within the first 20 min, you can actually rush as an Advent. It's kinda creepy.
