First of all, supporting yes, officially supporting - depends.
We've got to understand here, that if IC would go and choose the mods they support and ones they don't, they would get flamed, rather then praised: How some of the mods are unworthy when others are? I can see the upcoming wars : that's a NO-NO. Though adding mods on their website for download can be a good thing, I would rather see an implemented mod-downloader on that matter. Also there it goes, most of the Total Conversion Mods [ I think even DoW as it is based on a series of books/novels ] would get fined for basically selling licensed material. Remember that even if You give away the content for free... you still do not have a license to do so.
Also I would care to say that currently every mod is officially supported, and the developers are listening and trying to meet everyones expectations. More to that, if they would choose to go and support some of the mods, and leave the rest, that would be one of a serious mistake they would do. What IC can do, is to recognise good mods, by giving the team a badge [ like a quality badge, http://www.process-in-focus.com/images/mb.GIF ]and perhaps some means to contact the dev-team a bit more easily. That's it. Anything more will break the balance, and lead the modding community into chaos. Support everyone, or none. Other then that, there will be mess!
