Robotech Mod

Any one have the time help mod it?

Just started to look over the tools to do a mod/total conversion for this game . Currently not sure what the possibilities are of this game engine as of yet but I'm still digging into it.

Big question would be turreted weapon systems and possible limited transformations. Odds are the transformations process would be a no, but it would be a nice surprise. From what I am see'ing Wings3D does not export to .xsi format but there is most likely a way around this.

I have a small array of ships already meshed and textured.
Example: REF Garfish.

I don't know much about modding, but I'm pretty sure the transformation would be a no. I think the B5 mod ran into a problem with turrets, so thats probably a no too. But I would love to see a Robotech mod.

Yeah. Veritechs are 3 story tall mechs of win. I'd love to see my Veritechs blow those Zentraedi scum to bits. SDF-1, giant robots/fighter planes. Robotech.

Anyways, we all know one thing about giant robots.

Chicks dig them.

Atm, turrets are not possible. I think the TEC uses them (Kol battleship?) but no one has figured out how to recreate it.

For modeling get Mod Tool from the Softimage web site. Its free.

shadow chron is pretty good; uses a bit from the sentinels books which is cool. too short though.

Robotech is awesome. good luck converting it. no transforms but it would be awesome to see the sdf 1 melt away fleets of ships.

Okay, since everyone keeps mentioning it I might as well post a picture of it.

For the most part I already have 90% of the REF fleet meshed in for another game. And a good section of the Invid. But most of these models are over two years old and need to be redone/cleaned up.

When it comes to mod'ing I have some patience depending on how bad the learning curve is to do it. Not to mention user friendly tools to pull it off, because not everyone uses 3D Max. I can spend hours on end modeling and texturing because its productive. Mod'ing is often trial and error just to get something to work (and I'm not talking about balancing ships)
