Phase space and worm holes

Hey guys

I would like to know the difference between using phase space to make long jumps to anothe star system and using worm holes, I am playing a game that has wormholes, so I would like to know also how to use these wormholes?

You can jump from any star to any other star. Research is cheaper.

Wormholes are instantaneous travel. Depending on the map, wormholes may be from one side of a single star system to another or to another system. You can't tell where the other end of the wormhole is until you go though it.

Ships will automatically use both stars and wormholes.
