Basically , whenever someone feels the urge to quit...
1) Tell everyone that you have Lost. "I have Lost"
2) Your teammates should now verify this with either....
a) "Yea...hes right , we might aswell start a new game , no point dragging this"
"No...your wrong , we are still winning because playerX on their team is worse off , so overal we winning"
c) "Erm...can we please play a bit longer , we might have a comeback going"
If a) Teams exchange "ggs". The losing team can now quit simultanousely or surrender simultanousely. Stats are irrelevant to me , so aslong as its simultanoues to bring the game to an end , and the winning team has been acknowledged by the losing team , then thats all that matters. Often players with dying teammates will do the whole fight to death , but we all know that we have lives and we dont have hours to spend watching planets die and winning teams are just as happy to end a game if its being concluded.
This way two things happen...
- You dont end up playing against or teaming up with AIs
- You dont get annoying silent quitters who are worse of the lot. Not saying "gg" is like not shaking the opponents hand at the end of a match. Very bad sportmanship.
- And also , there is absolutely no stat loss . I feel its more important that the losing team acknowledges the win to the victorious team . I dont really care if they take a loss or not , the quitter is cheating themselves. If everyone agrees to quit together , then it makes the whole inert AI issue irrelevant too.
