Mouse icon freezes mid game... help?

I just bought the game and it loads up fine but after a few minutes of play the mouse icon freezes and I have to restart the computer to get it to work again.  The mouse still works as does everything else, it's just the icon and without it it gets kinda hard to see where I'm clicking.  Any advice will be much apreciated as I'm dying to play this game.  P.S.  I updated it just to make sure that wasn't the issue and it's not.  Thanks in advance...

Shot in the dark:
Turn off in Windows mouse features you have. Such as "Pointer trails".

Thanks for the try but I have no mouse features on... it's odd. Never had anything like this happen in a game before. Perhaps I'll try reinstalling the game. Can't hurt and I'm just so itching to play. I tried, but w/out the mouse cursor it's just too hard and I can't keep save/restarting computer every five minutes.

Make sure your video drivers are up-to-date. Some older ATI drivers have had cursor issues with the game.

I have the same problem. My comp has an nvidia card in it tho with updated drivers. Just wondering if u got it to work.

I also got the same thing, just that my mouse icon was invisible from the beginning, and it never had time to freeze because it's never been visible.
