There are many types of nerfs, what are you thinking about? dmg, salvoes, duration, visual etc etc

it's not really an insta gib and even though powerfull it is fairly easy to stop, and if you let it fire 20!!! salvoes then you could most likely have done something diffrently to avoid it doing so or moved your ships. The only change i'd like to see is a better visual so you spot it sooner,imo there are other ultimatas are just as powerfull but in other ways. An Advent fleet with dominated suport ships from tec and vasari is pretty much indestructable as an example.

and tbh i'd rather a buff to other ultimates to even it out as cap ships are somewhat underpowered atm.

True, but with 30% DMG increase and its not doing better than lasers with a 20% DMG increase is bad. TEC's strongpoint weapon wise is projectiles not lasers.

i wiped out entire army of 60 illus, 12 aeras and assorted crap of drestas, guardians and dominas and other shizzle with 3 marzas.

In 10 seconds.

Enemy caps were left alive with heavy hull damage.

The marza does indeed kick ass. Yesterday I got a little irritated by how much it does kick ass Sorry for that if you where the enemy. I normally never nag bout such stuf but it was really insane...

Too explain the situation a bit.

Map: 4v4 random map.

Our team kills two enemy players like emediatly while two enemies team up on one ally who's outright rolled over. One more enem7 leaves so it's 3v1(us being 2 vasari and one advent him being tech).

My territory borders the tech but I have an Asailant spam with some fighter back up and the advent has got his drone spam in my border planet after a failed asault of mine-------> lvl 6 dreadnaught, a dunov, somewhat about 20 hoshi's, 15 carriers I think and allot of of kodiaks.... We got rolled? We outnumbered 2 too 1 focues on the hoshi's and the dunov.

Later on we nuked all his planets and he was mine(we litarly swaped places on the map). While that same fleet, after already once loosing all his cs but somehow being insta rebuild cs it, destroying his second mass outnumbering ra's fleet of our other ally. One AI ally of the tech was swarming me while I was weakend in my new system(and enormous fleet It seemed too me he had been replaced by a hard or unfair ai rather than a normal I've never even seen an AI use such big fleet)

Our Ra's vasari left the game and thus the ai replacing him was being steamrolled by the tech while halve tech his fleet (again with the marza) was rolling a small advent carrier spam (that outnumbered the tech like 2 too 1)

That's quite insane, no? We where starting too really think he was cheating (apologies for that). But I thought it over later and it's possible.

total kill of his not too big fleet:- 2 quite large RA's fleets

                                             - 3 vasari assailant spams

                                             - 2 outnumbering advent carier fleet's (and they where running about the gravity well)

On top of that the tec fleet has almost no econ too rebuild.

My point is should a lvl 6 marza really be able too insta kill 75 asailants(don't know if it does even more didn't really watch it that closely but I'm sure at least 75 died) in one ability attack?

It's a nice ability, but not a guarantee of anything.

As stated, it won't kill 'sure kill' anything except frigates. HC's and caps survive. I've had it interruputed so many times I don't trust it to nuke an enemy fleet ( except pirates ). 2000 points of damage just isn't enough to kill everything in sight. You can run out of the radius, use an interrupting ability, or FF it with strike craft so it doesn't get that close. And the re-charge time is horrible. Not OP'd at all.

I've never tried three of them at once. I always waited until one was finished before kicking in the next. And just gotta say it, if you let THREE of them close enough to do a simultaneous triple barrage.... you got what you deserved.

Lol, I knew that was you, gui.  We played a game this weekend where you had 4 Marzas up in 20 minutes, pretty funny...It was gg pretty much from the beginning since it was 2 vs 4, but the missile barrage toward the end took my level 7 Space Whale down in about 5 seconds, along with the rest of my ships...so yah, might be a leettle overpowered but only for people who spam Marzas.  Who else do you know who does that? 

The TEC are already underpowered in the military department. The Marza is a key tactical asset in fleet engagements. Nerfing it would only serve to make it useless, and I agree with what General_Harada said if you let yourself fall prey to 3 Marzas... You get what you deserve.

Well a good way to kill a marza is with a KOL, so I wouldn't say obsolete. Also, stopping the missile barrage is easily done with the Akkan's Ion bold. So also not obsolete.

The carrier against a Marza might do ok if it's fully loaded with bombers. Probably not good enough to be effective. But the carrier is better used when raiding enemy planets (embargo)

If he's spamming marza's, and attacking your planets, it would be a good idea to use some planet shields *GASP!*

but really, if you put two in your grav well (opposite sides of the planet) it would be better than hangars. Set up some repair platforms and gausse cannons to protect the shield generators.

Marza's are slow and if you place the shields on opposite sides with adequate defense, it would give you some time to retaliate.  Bring in a Kol for each of his marza with gausse gun ability. If he starts bringing in repair ships, use carriers (not LF in this situation) with bombers to take them out. This way you can keep the carriers safe from the missile barrage but still hit their support with bombers.

Marza not OP!

A lvl 6 marza is what a capship is supposed to be, as far as bring in the firepower goes.  Both the Advent and the Vasari have some killer capital abilities but both really need to different caps to exicute it correctly.  The marza needs only to get to lvl 6. 

Advent: Detonate AM or Reverie.

TEC: Ion Bolt, Destabilizer Charge, Magnetize.

Vasari:  Disruptive Strikes.

Did I miss anything ( I left out some frigate anti AM abilities since they are weak)?

Hmm.. seems that Vasari has toughest time countering that, but I don't think Marza is over powered since Advent has some powerful anti fleet combos.

Advent suport cruisers are both also equiped with counters(thoug 1 needs to be reshearshed) and i supose the armstise abillity is also a counter.

Even with all that, the abillity is powerfull. So what, the rest of tec's offence is not that strong compared to the other 2 races.
