bombers are obsoleat, they get boinkked by fightrs so fast its not funny.

Also, the fighter swarm is much beter since when you finaly achive air superiority, you can use your fightrs do same damage.

Lets say you have 2/3 fighters and 1/3 bombers

Enemy got 3/3 fighters

Result is that your bobmers get boned, and then you will lose your fihters, cause enemy got more.

Yeah, bombers peel cruisers, and yeah, fighters peel bombers.  If they could catch Siddy, he'd be peeling potatoes.

I will tend to have atleast 1 bomber squad if i have 35 odd fighter squads just to confuse AI targeting of the enemy into all chasing one bomber squad.

Tbh , bombers have gone the way of the siege frigate. Only viable once you have won , as a mop up tool or just something funny and alternative to do when you know the enemy is down , and you could just beat him by the book but its just funny to see a fleet of bombers or build some sieges just so u can wina bit quicker when the enemy doent want to quit.

You probably want to use fighters and reconfigure when there are no more enemy fighters.  It would take a while to kill the enemy carriers, and while this is happening your bombers would not be contributing.

Actuly no. What will happen is that the enemies fighter will indeed go againts your bombers caussing lots of damage. But in the same time your fighters will be going after his fighters. Meaning that his fighter will be taking huge loses from yours becasue they are currently bussy hunting down bombers. This can actuly give your the upper hand if your were numericaly inferior to your enemy in carriers. But still it a question of how much to ahve ofve each. 1/4 to 1/3 bombers is a respectable ratio for accomplishing this.

And the reason why this works is because fighters are pre programed to favor chasing bombers over anythign else. IF their is a bomber across the gravwell it will go for that instead of anything else near it.

When I play advent I get 2 fighters and 1 bomber for each host. Then in my fleet i make sure I have at least 10-15 flak frigs. I store all bombers and fight the fighters till they r down then release my bombers. Seems to work ok for me. The thing that sucks is the carriers r always building new fighters. So even if you destroy a squad a new one appears in a few seconds . If you lose you fighters they shouldnt rebuild during a battle its just.... dumb. All fighter squads are chasing that one fighter that appears again so they r never free to attack anything else.

That's what I was thinking.  I was using all fighters up to my most recent game and thought this might be the case.  Once you achieved air supremacy you would be better off since the bombers, the new ones being created by your carriers-not the ones that were sacrificed, would do much more damage than the fighters would.  Now I am trying 1/4 bombers.
