Entrenchment Hotfix Change Log

Entrenchment Hotfix Change Log

The Sins of a Solar Empire - Entrenchement Hotfix is now available for update via Impulse (it'll show as v0.91). This update includes the following changes:

  • Fixed Argonev's Resupply ability's level 2 values
  • Fixed missing String in Gravity Mine research description
  • Fixed crash bug caused by managing squadrons when your selection contains both cruisers and capital ships and you have at least one squadron of homing mines allocated.
  • Scuttle and salvage value of TEC space mines is now the per mine value, rather than for the entire mine cluster
  • TEC Hangar Flak Turret research now has 1 level of upgrades instead of 2
  • Fixed bug that caused structures with research prerequisites to allow their construction to progress even if the research was only queued but not complete.
  • Each race's mine's ability that causes them to be phased out and invulnerable now has a unique icon.

How did they not notice this

If you ever do engineering in the real world you will realise they probably were aware of it, it's just low down on the priority for being fixed at the moment. I imagine these synch issues and a few crashes are really sucking up a lot of development time right now.

can vasri still mine the "entrance" areas of grav wells and get my ships killed the moment they jump in?

has anyone had trouble loged in on internet and not being able to access other peoples games because impulse has somehow had a update and other people are still waiting for it, like my self whos tryed reinstalling, taking game off reinstalling, resetting the settings via the stardock icon and doing a re update, so besides trying to reinstall and do what i hzve why is it, it seems that other people have either a newer update than the dec 17th patchs ?

Anyone

What I really like to see is to get rid of mines in a gravity well after capturing that planet. I have captured planets where there will remain 50+ enemy mines which cost me 50 scouts to clean up.

Please give the ability to the build drones to clean up the enemy mines automaticaly. Or the scout in owned planet gravity wells.

Fixed.

An auto-clear of enemy mines in a gravity well controlled by you would go a long way towards fixing this issue.  It would also seem to nullify part of the Advent and Vasari's edge in mine spam, but as it stands, that might not be a bad thing.

I agree with Sole Soul.. A method of mine cleanup needs to be implemented. Here's an Idea (stolen from Starcraft): make autocannons be mine detectors as well.

Hey this isn't really a bug or something but I thought it would be great if one of your ships spots and not just engages but right when it spots an enemy ship it notifies verbally you aboout it like it does when you finish researching. Because in Balance of Power I use Vasari scouts to colonize vulnerable asteriods in plasma storms or whatever and use it like a sentry tower to see if the enemy try's to flank my Terran planet but sometimes I don't check it very often and I am caught off guard.

THANKS!!!

Hi,

im not sure if the hotfix has been installed on my version of Entrenchment, because I haven't found nothing else on the Impulse upgrade list except for the Entrenchment setup, it is the hotfix included in the espansion pack?

Read you soon

However, in a skirmish match, I was almost near the advent defense station of the enemy player but, it doesn't shoot to my fleet, if it is alright maybe the range of the defense station is to small...

If you downloaded Entrenchment any time after this thread was created, it's already hotfixed. :)

Seriously. I want to play this online...but it's broken. So how about an ETA if nothing else?

Maybe some idea of what changes are planned?

If a Beta wasn't broken, it wouldn't be a beta :P  It's coming soon, but unfortunately we can't give you an ETA.

One quick suggestion I would like to make for Entrenchment would be to toggle "Off" mines in the game options. (Just like Pirates)

For myself it doesn't add much to the enjoyment factor of the game.  Still love the Starbases and other additions though!

If I threw a hammer at it, would it be more of a Beta?

Duct tape and Super glue fix everything.

Really? With enough then, I should have Entrenchment 1.0!

IC should just bash their server machine (assuming that the code base isn't just stored on someone's work pc, anyway) with a wrench while shouting "This is how we fix problems in Canada!"

Yes, this is a blatant reference to the only scene in Armageddon that made the movie worth watching.

Or you could just put two beta's in a fishbowl and let them fight it out to see which beta version better and inside the server.

Good idea.

Yes, we should definitely be able to turn off the mines. It's just annoying.

Why turn off mines? Gah, once they are balanced and not spamable they will a value part of a defense. Heck if you want to turn off defense then dont play entrenchment.

I say have the next beta's mines be three times as powerful just to piss everybody off.
