Entrancement opinion thread, what can people suggest to make it better?

Since people are complaining about the mines alot.

I noticed a fair about of complaints regarding the Entrancement, mainly concerning with the mines.

So I have created this thread, to suggest some additions.

I'll start of by saying I pretty much like how it is now, but some people don't like the mines, or don't like the way it is now.

So for my suggestions (and hope to be implemented)...

- Have an option to turn on and off both mines and starbases.

- Set amount that a player can build per gravity well (i.e. Limit), including an unlimited mine option.

- Have an option for the mines to set a strength?

Cheers! and Merry xmas all :)

I've heard several complaints that Starbases can only target one opponent at a time. This surprises me! I haven't tried entrenchment yet, but I had been assuming that their weapons banks would be setup like capships, with front/left/right/rear firing arcs, and have all 4 balanced for damage evenly (unlike the capitol ships that have the bulk of their firepower concentrated into one of the firing arcs). And like cap ships, have each firing arc select it's own target. The AI already turns the ship when a target is selected by the player so that it fires from the weapon bank with the most damaging salvo (Kol turns nose toward the enemy while the Akkan fires broadsides for example). Depending how the AI is coded, if all 4 firing arcs have equal damage over equal time, the starbase should sit stationary and belch persecution upon whatever target(s) the player wishes! (as well as throw any other available damage at targets of opportunity creating the bristling weapons platform engaging multiple targets with a variety of weaponry that we all, deep down inside, want to watch work while laughing maniacally).

I gather though that this isn't the case?
