Replays?

This game is really complicated.  SupCom was easy.  Perhaps its just the lack of a campaign that is preventing me from getting a grasp on things, but I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around Sins.

Back in SupCom, the best, surefire way to figure out what you're supposed to be doing was to watch some high level replays.  It was fairly easy to find them too, as GPG had some replay filters you could use and GameReplays.org had a great section with good people, reviewers, and replays.

I can't find any Sins replays.  Ironclad Online doesn't have a section for them (that I saw) and the link on this site's downloads page is very limited.  Even if I was to find some replays, I would have no way of knowing if the people I was watching had any idea of what they were doing.  For all I know, they could both be bad but one could just be REALLY awful to an extent that it makes the other bad player look good.

Long story short, is there anyplace around where I can find some good replays?  And are there any player names I should be looking for?

I mentioned that in my post.  Most of the replays are from previous versions  and I have no way of knowing if any of those even remotely reflect skilled play.  Also, there are only 29 of them.  Not really an awful number, but given some of them date back to release around 10-11 months ago, there is an amazingly small amount of them.

So I'll just take it as a no.  There are no decent places to go in order to find Sins replays.  Real pity.

ay, it's a shame there is not a centrelizes easy to upload to place for them.

 

that said the current version (1.12) is still new so even if there was it would most likely still be short on 1.12 replays

 

further watching your own game replays will (in my xp) give you a lot better idear than some randoms, and fyi the online players are mostly very friendly and helpfull, try doing a few co-ops vs AI's with us.

But that wasnt exactly the question. I know where thins are hosted(mostly). The question was how (registration requiered?) (monthly payments?)(wot wot's and not)

As an aside . .  that upload location is light on replays because teh community may not know about it.  Upload there and advertise what you've uploaded here and more folks may get involved.

I was going through the same problem. But then I just started using Marza playing more games and trying out different attack methods. It also helps that I have a friend to play with I guess. It takes a while but if you read around the forum, you should get a general concept of what each faction does.

the problem right now is: 1.1 replays don't work correctly!  They are bugged/screwed up!

So, nobody can upload new ones... and the good old ones, like those 1.096 replays that you'll find, won't run with the new version (just like you can't load old saves)!

So what Zubaz linked is all there is, and it won't get better.  Until they fix the replay bug.

it is too bad there are not any replays.  I became interested in this game orignally after watching some replays.  I would like to recommend the game designers post a game replay as an example until another skilled player has an opportunity to do so.  It could add some additional sales and be an effective form of advertisement for the upcomming modules.

Its been posted at the Beta Feedback forum for a long time now, a couple times too, and many mentions elsewhere.

[P.S. its Online Multiplayer replays that aren't correct, the only kind worth watching.]
