1.04 Rally Points?

The release notes for 1.04 beta 2 contain some tantalizing entries...

1.04 Beta 2: May 20

-basic rally point code
-rally point hit detection
-rally point names on map
-rally point destination pointers in colony and starship

But I couldn't really find anything about them in the game. Are rally points working in 1.04? How do you use them?

No, they aren't available to you in 1.04.  Just the groundwork code that's getting ready for the expansion. 

When I e-mailed the list of stuff that I had done last week to Brad, I didn't separate the stuff that I had done for the expansion from the stuff I did for 1.04.  It doesn't really help you to know it's there, but it would help us if wacky stuff started happening that was related to the rally point code to know that yes, it was in there.
