Hello,
Since I don't think Devs are really all that concerned with modding right now this is more for the modding community.
After a good 5 hours of trying to hunt down a minidump cause, I finally figured it out. A frigate can not have 4 squad. I don't know if they can have more than that, but at 4 they dump. 
I'm not sure why, I'm hoping this is different come final release, but be warned!
