I saved a game I was playing in the beta, when I loaded it up a few hours later, it was stuck in what was essentially cinematic mode. The cinematic mode button would switch like normal, but the game itself was stuck in cinematic view.
Did you happen to quit the game with cinematic mode active? AFAIK, toggling the mode actually switches some game settings, so if you quit with it on it'll save those settings permanently and you'd have to go tweak them again the next time you launch.
If that were the case I would assume pushing the button would turn it off, since it is just a UI thing. To save file space it would only save (I would assume) an on/off for cinematic mode, and figure out the rest based on that. This would leave no reason for why it would be stuck on. Not to mention, this would be much more widespread of an occurance if it was just the result of saving with cinematic mode on.
Now that I think about it, it likely would not even save on/off, and just assume it was off, although since I am not someone who worked on their game engine, I don't know the specifics of it...
I don't know. I remember that it used to save the settings on quit in cinematic mode a long time ago, but I am not sure if they fixed it yet since it'd be a low priority thing. 
Yeah had this too...You need to enabled it in the UI options(options menu)
I had this too, back in 1.0something, after a couple of times, i figured what was the problem. As fragieD said, you can just set everyhing back on from the UI menu. I thought this would be fixed in the 1.1 patch, or has no-one reported it before? (I didn't )
It's been reported, I just imagine it'd be a pretty low priority fix since it's both a minor bug and easily avoidable
