Your advent carriers full of nothing but fighters will put a hurting on him.  An interesting strategy was proposed the other day to deal with carrier spam.  Build a substantial flak fleet.  Jump the flak fleet into the grav well ahead of your main battle fleet.  Have it sit and it will be attacked by the strike craft and get mauled.  Then phase jump the rest of your fleet in 30 seconds or so later.  The enemy strikecraft should be decimated when you arrive.

That is very true, but being a newb as described by jhsmd I bet he falls for it.  That would break the routine.

I suggest you use radiance against a vasari egg (mothership), if your pal goes for the egg, he'll have nano disassembler in no time, means -30 hull /s and -2 armor, becomes worse later on, still -30 but lastes longer and -4 armor with lvl 2, -6 lvl 3 ans longer again, you can simply use radiance that depelts antimater and has armor boost, you can like that make his egg completely useless and even damage his carriers while depelting their antimater, witch is a nice boost since they make strikes from antimater. vas strikes are nice but only 4 per squad, and 2 per carrier for 14 supply (810 160 140), advent has 9 fighters per squad and 3 squad per carrier for 20 supply (1280 230 220) means the advent has the best cost/supply for fighter spam, if you just make 6 carriers you'll have the same amout of squads as if he had 9 lasurak (cas carrier) that means you'll spend less supply and less cash to have an equal fighter fight.

One thing not to do is use illums on a carrier spam they'll die early, fast, and never shoot. Useless. Make disciples to take his lasurak down, disciples don't go down easy against fighters too, you can also make guardians and illums on your back while he's busy with you, if he spams skirmishers then send the illums in and kill them, if he goes for kanrak then all you have to do is select all carriers and ask them to take kanraks down ( no more then 9 squads on a kanrak or its a waste of firepower) if he goes for enforcer then its bad for you, you can either go for destra and guardian yourself, or stay on illums and use repultion guardians, this strat needs a LOT of drone host and illums, you absolutly need to win the air superiority to be able to deploy bombers and crush his enforcers down, probably easy to do since enforcers cost much (625 150 110) and he probably won't be able to spam them, they are also long to build so reinforcements won't come fast. You can add something like 25 disciples to cripple lasuraks, if his enforcers chase disciples he'll loose time and you're bombers will be able to have fun on them.

One thing to do is NOT EVER EVER let a vasari take neutrals, if there is enough neutrals on the map he can outeco you easely. while you're still on drone spam and illum, he can come out with an enforcer overseer and subv spam. That would be game over. always grab the neutrals.

This doesn't work. Any player will the brains would just sit at the very edge of the gravity well and jump away as soon as you get in range. All the while oing massive dmg to you with his bombers.

Strike Craft spam is ruining this game.

IMO vasari will rip your puny advent cariers too bits vasari strike craft are best in game.
