So what was changed in the Unfair AI in entrenchment? They seem way way too easy now. Before entrenchment they were actually challenging. Now with entrenchment they're push overs. My friend and i play lots of 2v2 with 2 unfair computers. Before Entrenchment we would always have trouble winning against them. Now, it seems like we're playing against 2 hard or lower AI oppenents. They don't come at us with stupidly huge fleets anymore, they're not as aggressive or fast either.
It seems like they are taking on the whole "entrenchment" theme and turtling up. Every planet they own they put up a starbase. In the current form, starbases really aren't all that effective. All they do is make it take longer to take a planet from the enemy, and thats only if they're upgraded. This may be one of the reasons why Unfair AI seems so easy now, they put too much of their resources into starbases that don't help them much. I've never ever had a problem taking a planet with a starbase from the Unfair AI players. All you do is lure the fleet out of range of the starbase, kill them then deal with the starbase.
The starbases need longer range or some kind of special abilities that make them worth using. The AI players are buying these and they're not helping them at all and making the game against them way too easy.
