Trade network

Does anybody know if the route for your longest trade route can traverse stars, if the stars have Starbases with trade port upgrades?

IIRC, trade routes could go through stars in vanilla sins, but starbases do act as nodes in the trade network, so most propably yes.

It appears in Entrenchment neutrals are no longer counted as "uninterrupted" for the longest route calculation. However, a starbase with the trade port upgrade does allow the longest route to pass through. I've tested it specifically in my last game

even in the regular game my trade route counted thru a star, like it went from 3 planets, to the star (with nothing there) to 2 more planets in another system

In the regular game, it does that. Seems Entrenchment changes that though.

It does seem to be a lot better on determining the path, though. Before, it would take the "shortest" longest path, now it takes the "longest" longest So for example, if the path, from the same origin and the same destination, can go through 5 jumps or 8 jumps, it will take the 8 jumps as the longest.
